In celebration of its 15th anniversary, the ABS-CBN New Channel (ANC) promises to deliver more news and information to its avid viewers.
In a press briefing held last Wednesday, October 5, ANC showcased some of its prominent shows that are lined up this October.
This includes the revival of Ces Drilon's profile program Pipol, its newly revamped morning show Mornings @ ANC, its noontime telecast Dateline Philippines, and its evening newscast called Primetime on ANC.
ANC managing director Ging Reyes said in her short speech that the organization would continue to give relevant and fresh news items for Filipino viewers.
"In the face of so many events politically, so many disasters taking place in our country right now, we are very thankful that we have ANC.
"It's a platform for extended coverage, for deep analysis, for insightful coverage. And we are committed to giving you more of these," says Reyes.
She also acknowledged ANC's competitors, which are GMA News TV and Aksyon TV.
However, she points out, "We maintained that ANC has continued to rise and to be apart from the ordinary."
Reyes also guarantees, "We will continue to make sure that we give you the service, the dedicated news coverage that ANC has been known for, and to continue to improve whatever it is that we air on ANC
"'Yan po ay ipagpapatuloy namin sa pamamagitan ng mga bagong programa at mga bago pang segments."
REVAMPED AND RELAUNCHED PROGRAMS. Pinky Webb, Ron Cruz, Ginger Conejero, and Paolo Abrera will deliver fresh content on Mornings @ ANC every day at 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Information about current events will be delivered by TJ Manotoc and Gigi Grande on Dateline Philippines at 12 n.n.
In the evening, events taking place inside and outside the country will be featured on the evening telecast Primetime on ANC at 8 p.m. This will be hosted by veteran news anchor Tony Velasquez and ABS-CBN North America Bureau correspondent Karmina Constantino.
Meanwhile, Ces Drilon will provide an in-depth look at well known personalities through her returning profile show Pipol, which airs every Monday at 9:30 p.m. starting October 10, 2011.
