Pinoy Big Brother "Kuya" opened his famous house to the newest batch of housemates last night, October 29, 2011. PBB show hosts Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Gonzales and ex-PBB Teen Edition Plus housemate Robi Domingo grandly welcomed the housemates in a "big fiesta." The official bienvenida happened in front of the PBB house in Quezon City last night.

To jumpstart the show, host Toni, clad in a stylish blue beweled long-sleeved dress, entertained the massive crowd by performing the very popular PBB theme song "Pinoy Ako."

Afterwards, Toni introduced the first four PBB housemates composed of two females and two males. The housemates held masks to conceal their faces. First put on spotlight is 24-year old sultry charmer Jaz Manabat, the "sensual siren ng Quezon City." Called next is the "Hotshot Engineer ng Cebu", good-looking Jan "Slater" Young. The third housemate personifies toughness and said to be "street smart"; 32-year old Kigoy Abarico goes by the moniker "Bay Diskarte ng Ormoc. Twenty-year old tennis player Tin Patrimonio, daughter of popular basketball player Alvin Patrimonio, completes the first four. The housemates were escorted by Bianca and Robi.

The fifth housemate introduced is self-made man 29-year old Roy Gamboa, otherwise known Sales Lakay ng Pangasinan. He is joined also by 18-year old Kevin Fowler, the "Dream Boy ng California" and "Mom of Steel ng Muntinlupa" multi-awarded body builder champ Luz McClinton.

The third set of housemates features a fearless female comic who goes by the name of Pamu Pamorada. She is the "Kitikiti Kid ng Batangas" and she idolizes comedian Vice Ganda. The ninth housemate is said to be "Hopeless Romantic ng GenSan," 26-year old Paco Evangelista. Ninteen-year old Kim de Guzman, the "Stunning Sweetheart ng Olongapo," is the tenth housemate identified.

The last three housemates introduced are half-Pinoys. Fil-German Joseph Biggel is the "Promdihirang Tisoy ng Marinduque," "Pinoy Anime ng Japan" Fil-Japanese Seichang Ushimi, and Fil-British Divine Maitland-Smith, the "Darling Dude ng Cebu," who admits that she is a lesbian.

A surprise twist turned up after the 13 housemates were named. Thirty "reserved" housemates were called on stage by Toni. She explained that a 14th housemate will be part of PBB Unlimited.

In a "lucky draw" held live during the show, the 14th housemate was identified as Carlo Romero from Chicago, U.S.A. Toni read a letter addressed to the 14th housemate stating that the 14th housemate has a special role to fulfill inside the PBB house. He is Kuya’s designated "mole." Carlo will be given several challenging tasks to perform. If he is able to carry these tasks out without a hitch, then he will continue his stay. But if he fails, he will leave Kuya’s house by the end of the week.

A glimpse of the housemates inside the PBB house was shown. Each housemate had to enter a narrow "tunnel" to get into Kuya’s house. Unlike the previous seasons, the PBB house has been stripped of every comfort and luxury; gone are the elegant interiors and comfy furniture. Instead, the housemates set foot inside a typical shanty-inspired home.

What adventures await the housemates? Will they pass Kuya’s challenges? Who among them will be evicted first?

Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited airs weeknights on ABS-CBN.
