Heart Evangelista is set to return to acting and doing teleseryes after four years.
Her comeback project was first announced in an omnibus plug that aired during the Kapuso network’s New Year Countdown last December 31, 2020.
Interestingly, it is titled I Left My Heart in Sorsogon, the province of Heart's husband Francis "Chiz" Escudero, who is currently serving as its governor, and her second home.
On January 2, Heart retweeted a netizen's repost of a PEP.ph article about GMA-7’s 2021 offerings.
The actress wrote, “Excited to go back to tv and highlight my love for Sorsogon :) I left my Heart in Sorsogon soon on GMA #mahalkongsorsogon”
She also teased that her new teleserye will show “a lot of fashion...and Chanel."
Heart said, “Yes for my upcoming teleserye -I left my Heart in Sorsogon - you will see a lot of fashion [Red heart] and a whole lot of Sorsogon ! #mahalkongsorsogon”
According to GMA-7, the story is about "a young woman whose status as a fashion socialite is shaken up after returning to her hometown, rediscovering her roots, and rekindling her love for family, community, and an ex-flame.”
It will be produced by GMA Entertainment Group, and its cast is yet to be revealed.
Heart's last teleserye was the 2017 romantic-comedy series My Korean Jagiya, which was shot in Korea. It currently airs replays on GMA Telebabad.
