During the premiere of her launching movie Gigil, Katrina Halili could not help herself from commenting on Aubrey Miles's remark that her acting "needs improvement."
Katrina and Aubrey are co-stars in the Regal Entertainment movie Super Noypi. They are not known to be close friends, but neither are they known to be enemies. Now, a friendship may not be possible till after some time.
The whole thing started when DJ Mo Twister interviewed Aubrey Miles in the November 15 episode of his morning radio show Good Times on dwTM. He asked Aubrey to name the showbiz industry's worst actress. To this, Aubrey did not give a direct answer. But pressed for one, she then said that Katrina Halili's acting "needs improvement."
When PEP asked Katrina for her reaction to Aubrey's statement, Katrina said: "Hindi ko naman minamasama yung sinasabi niya [Aubrey] sa akin. Lahat ng tao may karapatang magbigay ng kanya-kanyang opinyon. Siguro meron siyang napanood sa akin na nakulangan siya o hindi niya nagustuhan. Siguro gagalingan ko na lang."
Katrina added: "Thank you na lang sa kanya. Nag-improve naman na po ako. Hindi ko naman sinasabi na magaling ako. Dahan-dahan lang po. Kahit naman ako may karapatan magbigay ng opinion. Opinyon niya yun. Hindi natin siya masisisi."
The sexy actress, PEP must say, has a pretty mature attitude about all this. In fact, she said, "Sige, gagalingan ko na lang. Hindi ako galit or what." This is just the kind of attitude that will take any young star far in the business. And, dare we say, Aubrey should take her cue from this.
