The Revillas in California

This was right after the first bout of Manny Pacquiao against Erik Morales. The Pac-Man didn't win, but he remained as the idol of these big boys (L-R): Nick Enciso, Jolo's guardian when he stayed briefly in the U.S.; Senator Bong Revilla's aide, Cholo; Jolo Revilla; Senator Bong Revilla; comedian Jimmy Santos; and Eric Torente.

The trip to California in March of last year was mainly to accompany former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr. on his medical checkup. But it gave the entire Revilla clan the chance to go on a grand family vacation.

The lovely Andrea "Andeng" Baustista, the Revilla patriarch's favorite child, says her kuya Bong Revilla and ate Lani Mercado had another reason for going at that time, and this had to do with their son, actor and teenage father Jolo Revilla: "Sinamahan nila si Jolo para makapagsimula doon. Kasi nga, doon na siya mag-aaral. At the same time, ipinasyal na rin ang mga bata."

The highlight of the Revillas' U.S. trip was supporting boxing hero Manny Pacquiao in his first bout against Mexico's Erik Morales in Las Vegas last year. Pacquiao-still black and blue from his opponent's blows-gamely posed with every Pinoy who came to support him then.
