Multi-awarded actor Aga Muhlach said it was not the right time to labelfellow actors as potentially measuring up, if not exceeding, hisaccomplishments as an artist. Some young actors today have been compared to him—labeled as aspirants to be the “next Aga Muhlach.”
According to Aga, it’s not yet the right time to label anyone as such.
“It’s just my age, I’m still here so there’s no ‘next AgaMuhlach,’” he jokingly told Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP)during the press conference of “MaAGA ang Pasko sa Jollibee,” the fastfood chain’s annual gift-giving campaign, last November 28 in BlueWave, Pasay City.
Special mention was made to young actor Gerald Anderson, who iscurrently being dubbed as his “heir apparent” due to the similaritiesin how their careers blossomed while starting in show business.
“That’s unfair naman for him. He has his own name. But it’s unfairnaman sa kanya yun. Nakakainsulto naman sa kanya yun. Parang he has hisown personality so let him shine as Gerald Anderson,” Aga said.
