Araneta Coliseum was packed last January 9, Tuesday, with screaming Sharonians!

Sharon Cuneta celebrated her 41st birthday with a free concert, "The Mega Birthday Concert," for all her fans. Various popular bands, including Sandwich and Ichyworms, plus the Kapamilya artists—counting Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby, John Lloyd, Bea Alonzo, and Judy Ann Santos—took part in the night's performance.

Judy Ann and Sharon performed the Carpenters' classic "I Won't Last A Day Without You." Judy Ann, who is known as an actress and not as a singer, performed creditably, with a little help from Sharon, of course.

Possibly the most anticipated number in the concert was the appearance of Sharon's daughter by Gabby Concepcion—Maria Kristina Cassandra, a.k.a. KC. Together, the two sang "Wind Beneath My Wings" to generous applause from an audience that filled up all the good seats of the cavernous coliseum and a fourth of the General Admission gallery.

Before their duet, KC had sprung a surprise for her mother by singing "Do I Make You Proud?" Wearing a long black dress and wearing her hair long and loose, the lovely KC showed everyone that she had her mother's musical genes.

The Megastar's birthday special will be aired on Sunday, January 14.
