Two of the showbiz's most beautiful faces were brought together for the first time in a tell-all, show-all shoot. Gretchen Barretto and Lucy Torres-Gomez were asked to bring their favorite beauty and fashion stuff and rave about their favorite designers, brands, and styles!

Lucy on staying beautiful. Lucy has faithfully followed the simple beauty advice given by her Lola Carmen and Mommy Julie. "They always said na never sleep on a dirty face," she recalls. "So, kahit gaano ako kapagod, hindi talaga ako nakakatulog nang hindi nakaligo o hindi nakalinis ng mukha. I don't know if it's psychological, pero automatic pag nakatulog ako na hindi ko nahugasan 'yong mukha ko, talagang nagkakataghiyawat ako the following day. So, ayaw ko na siyang i-risk."

Hair and make-up are things Lucy goes to the experts for. She admits: "Hindi ako marunong mag-ayos ng hair. Kaya importante sa akin that the haircut is nice para hindi ko na siya isipin. Gusto ko talaga, wash-and-wear. Hindi rin ako marunong mag-make-up. Ang alam ko lang ilagay, lip gloss, kaya 'yon lang lagi ang binibili ko."

From grooming professionals—such as mar-up artists: Juan Sarte, Lala Flores, Chechel Joson, Xeng Zulueta—Lucy has just recently learned one important beauty lesson: "I used to underestimate 'yong sinasabi nila na if you curl your lashes, it opens up the eyes. It really does. Laking bagay."

The wife of senatoriable Richard Gomez used to take vitamin C religiously. Last year however, she began taking multivitamins. She has Kris Aquino to thank for this. And by the way, when we say multi, we don't mean multi-elements in one tablet or capsule, but multi in the sense that Lucy takes several tablets in a day.

Lucy explains the rationale for the regimen that Kris prescribed: "Kanya-kanya daw ng pupuntahan 'yon. May para sa buhok para laging healthy, Gingko Biloba para sa memory... So, tinuruan niya ako ng what supplements to take. Noong una, pinadalhan niya ako ng mga naka-pack na, isang set per day, ready for intake na for several days. And then, I continued na, kasi sayang naman 'yong sinimulan ko, 'di ba? Importante 'yong may medicine box ka, ilalagay mo sa bag mo pag aalis ka. Para wala kang reason not to take it."

But on top of all these, leading a happy life with husband Richard and their unica hija Juliana is what keeps Lucy constantly beautiful. Gone were the days when she would shy away from the cameras. The haciendera from Ormoc, who now hosts a lifestyle show on QTV and a dancing show on ABC 5, has accepted the fact that a part of her life is now being owned by the public. Indeed, she has adjusted really well as Mrs. Richard Gomez.

Gretchen's turn to talk about beauty. Gretchen has two must-have tools for her face: powder and blush-on. For the former, she raves about Shue Uemura loose powder and by Terry loose powder in Midnight Mauve. For her cheeks, she uses BeneFit benetint and Shu Uemura powder blush in PRed 19D.

Her beauty tools include a Frederic Fekkai hair brush, by Terry loose powder brush, Shu Uemura eyelash curler, Shu Uemura 20H angled brush, and Shu Uemura eyebrow comb.

When asked about her top perfume pick, La Greta says rather seriously: "Alam mo, 'yan 'yong nakakainis na tanong, 'cause it's something girls will not reveal! You don't reveal that. Kasi iyan 'yong anting-anting mo."

Laughing now, she goes on: "Even my daughter, at her young age, will never reveal her scent, kasi, of course, you don't want anyone to smell like you. Gusto mo, 'Ano 'yan?' Hahanapin mo. I really don't want to share that."

She says she sprays often, then plays coy and refuses to give more information. "Dapat secret lang, para hindi alam. I spray often, allo na 'pag gabi. 'Di ba nice? People always have this, 'What's that?' You want to mislead them sometimes."

"And then, 'di ba, syempre you have different scents for different times of day—or where you are. If you're in a bar, siyempre iba naman 'yong scent mo. Dapat hot, 'di ba? Iba rin kung dinner."

What about Mr. Tonyboy? What scent does he like wearing that equally appeals to this lady?

"He's allergic to perfume," she says matter-of-factly. "He only wears baby cologne. Dominique also, e. Ayaw niya ng perfume. Ony cologne."

Gretchen's grooming is left to Patrick Rosas. "I don't know how to fix my hair, e," she reasons. So it's always just down or ponytailed. That's just it. Siyempre, if I go somewhere, then they always do my hair. So I have no problem. Even make-up, I don't know how to do make-up. It's always powder and lip gloss. I don't even put mascara. It's just curl lash."
