In July of 2001, she told YES! that Zoren Legaspi, the new man in her life, was the best thing that ever happened to her. "Kasi," she said, "kung wala siya, wala 'yung dalawang bagets ko. "
At the time, that would be the closest she would get to publicly revealing Zoren was the father of twins born to her in the United States of America.
Just days after that issue hit the newsstands, the Court of Appeals handed down a verdict granting Carmina's petition to annul her marriage to Rustom, filed more than four years ago with the Solicitor General's Office.
Her marriage to Rustom legally over, Carmina now finds herself free at last to talk about the loves of her life: her twins Maverick Peter and Maria Cassandra.
The said issue of YES! was deemed special precisely because Carmina finally spoke openly about what life was like for her, a mother who straddled her time between the regular grind of staying home to care for the twins and going to work in the frenzied world of show business.
What made the issue even more special is that—at last!—spread over these pages are photographs of Maverick and Cassandra in their first magazine pictorial!
