For a no-nonsense entrepreneur, Mother Lily Monteverde is still very much a softie.
"Kaya nga nasa showbiz tayo, e. Hindi puwedeng puro pera na lang. Kahit negosyante ako, emotional din ako, kaya nakakalungkot ang mga pangyayari na feeling ko, ipinagpalit ako sa isang taong ngayon lang naman nila nakilala," she lamented to Abante columnist and talent manager Jun Nardo.

With Angel affixing her signature with Star Cinema, many are wondering what will happen with the previous contract reportedly signed by Angel with Regal Entertainment.
"Sasabihin ko din ‘yon," the beloved producer told the press when probed incessantly about her plans, perhaps in legal terms.

Though she's trying to be professional about the incident, Mother Lily cannot help but voice out her sentiment against the Kapamilya network for seemingly disregarding Angel's initial commitment with Regal.
"I remember those times na nag-meet kami ng father ni Gabby Lopez na si Geny sa isang hotel sa Makati asking for my help to produce shows for the network. I felt his sincerity pero ‘yan ang hindi ko naramdaman ngayon. Sabagay, sino ba naman ako?" she blurted, sounding hurt.
