“Not a girl but not yet a woman.”
That’s how Ynna Asistio described herself during her 16th birthday party last night, September 29, at the Alchemy Bar in Libis, Quezon City.
The daughter of Nadia Montenegro and former Caloocan Mayor Boy Asistio said that nothing would change about her except that she would have more privilege to go out with friends—but with bodyguards.
“Siguro po mas mag-e-enjoy ngayon and mas may time na po lumabas with friends pero may kasama namang bodyguards. Never po akong umaalis ng walang bodyguards,” she said.
Ynna said that her mom is more lenient than her dad.
The young actress added that although she is already more than half of her teenage life, she is not yet open to suitors and she just want to focus on her career.
MOTHER’S WISH. Former actress Nadia Montenegro was very busy entertaining the guests of her daughter during the party last night. She showed how much she really cared for her daughter Ynna, who seems to be following in her footsteps as an actress.
Nadia also agreed to what her daughter said earlier that her husband is more strict than her when it comes to allowing their children to go out with friends. “Sa mommy puwedeng pakiusapan pero sa daddy mukhang hanggang 30 [years old] may limit,” Nadia said smiling.
What about Ynna having a lovelife? Nadia replied, “Huwag muna kasi hirap-hirap na siyang ipagsabay yung pag-aaal at saka showbiz, e. at saka alam niya kapag bumagsak siya sa pag-aaral, bye-bye showbiz. Usapan namin iyon.”
Nadia advises her daughter to always respect people around her.
I just want her to be herself and to be loved for just being her.
And if her daughter starts getting intrigues in showbiz, she assured Ynna that her mommy and daddy would be there to help her.
Ynna’s co-actors in Mga Mata ni Anghelita were invited to the party but some of them were not able to attend because last night was their last taping for the show. Ynna said, “Na-pull-out lang ako ni mommy para sa birthday party ko.”
Some of the celebrities who dropped by to greet the young actress were Paolo Contis, Yasmien Kurdi, Ogie alcasid, Regine Velasquez, Direk Joyce Bernal, and the couple Yayo Aguila and William Martinez.
