Ynna Asistio celebrates "Sweet 16" birthday

At sweet 16, Ynna Asistio considers herself amodern teenage girl, who can mix fun, showbiz work and, of course,her studies.


“Not a girl but not yet a woman.”


That’s how Ynna Asistio describedherself during her 16th birthday party last night,September 29, at the Alchemy Bar in Libis, Quezon City.


The daughter of Nadia Montenegro andformer Caloocan Mayor Boy Asistio said that nothing would changeabout her except that she would have more privilege to go out withfriends—but with bodyguards.


“Siguro po mas mag-e-enjoy ngayon andmas may time na po lumabas with friends pero may kasama namang bodyguards. Never po akong umaalis ng walang bodyguards,” she said.


Ynna said that her mom is more lenientthan her dad. “Si mommy hindi na po kailangang sabihinsa kanya kasi kami na mismo alam na namin ang limitations namin.”


The young actress added thatalthough she is already more than half of her teenage life, she isnot yet open to suitors and she just want to focus on hercareer. “Ay hindi po [puwede ang suitors] kasi sa daddy ko pa lang[tiklop na ako], hindi po puwede. Hindi pa po, 'tsaka baby pa,” explained Ynna.



MOTHER’S WISH. Formeractress Nadia Montenegro was very busy entertaining the guests ofher daughter during the party last night. She showed how muchshe really cared for her daughter Ynna, who seems to be followingin her footsteps as an actress.


Nadia said to PEP (PhilippineEntertainment Portal), “Happy din ako at ang daddy niya na kahitpapaano may karapatan ang anak ko. Marunong pa lang umarte kahithindi ko pa natuturuan. At saka ang nakita ko, nakuha rin niya yungdunong ng nanay niyang makisama.”


Nadia also agreed to what her daughtersaid earlier that her husband is more strict than her when it comesto allowing their children to go out with friends. “Sa mommypuwedeng pakiusapan pero sa daddy mukhang hanggang 30 [years old] maylimit,” Nadia said smiling.

What about Ynna having alovelife? Nadia replied, “Huwag muna kasi hirap-hirap na siyangipagsabay yung pag-aaal at saka showbiz, e. at saka alam niya kapagbumagsak siya sa pag-aaral, bye-bye showbiz. Usapan namin iyon.”


Nadia advisesher daughter to always respect people around her. “Bastaparati ko na lang sinasabi na just make sure na sa kahit anonggagawin mo, parati kang may respeto sa sarili mo at respeto sa mgakausap mo.Yun lang naman ang importante, huwag lang niyang kalimutanang 'po' at 'opo.'


“Napakababaw ng aking limit sa kanyadahil pagdating naman sa tiwala, one hundred percent ang tiwala ko sakanila, kaya wala akong problema.”


When asked for a birthday wish, Nadiasaid, “Sana lang lahat lang ng mga taong nakikilala niya,nakakahalubilo niya, ay mahalin siya for [herself]. I just want her to beherself and to be loved for just being her. At mahalin din niyaang industriya na nagmahal sa akin ng katagal-tagal at hanggangngayon ay mahal ko pa rin.”


And if her daughter starts gettingintrigues in showbiz, she assured Ynna that her mommy and daddy wouldbe there to help her. “Siguradong kakayanin niya dahil nandiyanang daddy niya sa kanang braso at ang mommy niya sa kaliwang braso namagbubuhat sa kanya pagbagsak niya,” said Nadia.


Ynna’s co-actors in Mga Mata ni Anghelita were invited to the party but some ofthem were not able to attend because last night was theirlast taping for the show. Ynna said, “Na-pull-out langako ni mommy para sa birthday party ko.”


Some of the celebrities who dropped byto greet the young actress were Paolo Contis, Yasmien Kurdi, Ogiealcasid, Regine Velasquez, Direk Joyce Bernal, and the couple Yayo Aguilaand William Martinez.
