Last Sunday, November 25, Showbiz Central featured a tearful Eva Cariño reacting to her son Royette Padilla's statement that he was forced to enter a rehabilitation center where he was allegedly maltreated. Royette, who said he can no longer bear the frequent abuse, escaped and told his story to Showbiz Central.
The Padilla matriarch brought her son to an undisclosed rehabilitation center for his drinking problem.
As this issue between Mommy Eva and Royette escalates, Robin Padilla finally spoke up via a taped interview in Showbiz Central yesterday, December 2. The action star and chairman of the Philippine Muay Thai team previously seemed to be unaffected by the controversy his family is now facing. Maybe it's his busy schedule, speculators said, now that his career is taking a full swing.
Kidding aside, Robin said he remains positive that the misunderstanding between his mother and Royette would end on a good note. He also said that he truly understands what Royette is going through.
Huwag masyadong mabigat. I love you mother!"
