Pops Fernandez and her glam world

Dec 17, 2007
Over 14 Filipino designers collaborated to make the 15 costume changes and variations for the Concert Queen possible.

There's always something to look forward to every time Pops Fernandez holds a concert. "Shindig Live"in 2001 became the talk of the town for its high production value and astounding choreography. The "Queens on Fire" in 2005 generated rave reviews for her versatility as a performer and for being great tandem to Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez.

Her 25th anniversary concert, held last December 8 at the Araneta Coliseum, combined grand production design, superb performances, and glamorous fashion.

More than 14 local designers collaborated on the designs of her costumes: Rajo Laurel, Frederick Peralta, Randy Ortiz, Mitch Dulce, Maxi Cinco, Derric Hibaler, Dennis Celestial, Avel Bacudio, Ivarluski Aseron, Joey Samson, Puey Quinones, Janes Reyes, Lyle Ybañez, and Patrice Ramos-Diaz. And she's the only Pinay performer who has made this possible.

Enter the glam world of the Concert Queen.
