Wowowee host Willie Revillame explained to the publicthat he does not own the alleged smuggled red Ferrari, as claimed by the Presidential Anti-Smuggling Group (PASG).

On Wednesday, June 9, PASG Undersecretary Antonio Villar appearedon television news reporting that Willie supposedly owns a suspected "hot car," which was later identified as a red Ferrari F430.

Usec. Villar added that upon receiving the information,Willie was immediately put under their surveillance. PASG chief also divulged that based on their investigation,Willie has been driving around the Metro using the 2006 Ferrari for almost amonth already.

Aside from this, Usec. Villar claimed that the comedian-TV host paid only P1 million as atax payment for the P23-million to P25-million-worth luxury car. He also added, "More or less mgaP12-million dapat ang bayaran niya dito."

Moreover, although the documents obtained by the PASG indicateda different name with regards to its ownership, Usec. Villar is still convincedthat Willie is undoubtedly the true owner of the alleged smuggled car.

He pointed out, "It's a known fact. Halos lahat, libo-libo na nga ang nakakakitana dala-dala niya ‘tong kotseng ‘to."

On the other hand, Willie's lawyer, Atty. Marie Pajatin, immediately defended him in GMA News, "He does not own a Ferrari. Wala siyang Ferrari... kung may ginagamitsiyang Ferrari, I'm sure it's not his."

This corroborated the initial claims made by Willie's personalassistant, Katia Montenegro, to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal). She said, "Hindi kay Willie yun.

WILLIE EXPLAINS. Last Friday, January 11, Willie took the opportunity to explainhis side in public during his noontime show on ABS-CBN, Wowowee.

He said: "Hindi sa akin nakapangalan ang kotseng 'yan, walapo sa akin 'yan, kaya wala akong kinalaman diyan. Huwag n'yo akong habulin.

The following day, January 12, Land Transportation Office(LTO) Chief Assistant Secretary Reynaldo Berroya denied reports saying that the redFerrari was registered in Willie's name.

"Alam mo ang kuwento niyan, ganito 'yan, e..." Willie started.

Okay. ‘So tingnan natin.' [Sagotng ahente], ‘So sige, boss, testing-in mo muna. Testing-in mo muna 'yan para maramdaman mo kung okay.'"

The TV host reiterated that he does not own thealleged smuggled car.

UNDER PASG SURVEILLANCE. The TV host was also asked if he ever noticed that he wasunder surveillance because of the alleged "hot car" he was test-driving.

The controversial comedian-TV host also questionedthe PASG, which closely watching him. He argued that PASG should have approachedhim and talked to him about the allegations.

At sana ganito, ‘Willie, iho, pasensya kana, yung kotseng minamaneho mo, may problema iyan. So wala akong kaalam-alam sa pangyayari."

He added, "Hindi man Ferrari 'yan o anumang auto 'yan o anumang klaseng sasakyan 'yan, kung may ganung klaseng problema ay hindiko alam.

MESSAGE TO PASG USEC. VILLAR. During the interview, The Buzz asked Willie for his message to Usec. Villar. With this, Willie started his long message by pleading to Usec.Villar to show the checks he allegedly released in payment for the tax of theluxury car.

"Mr. Wala po akong pinipirmahan," said the TV host-comedian.

Willie then shifted his point to the process in Customs andLTO.

He said, "Mayroon lang ho ako sanang konting tanong ho,nakakalungkot ho, e, nakakalungkot.

I'm sorry. Natutoako dito, e.

WILLIE'S WARNING. Towards the end of the interview, Willie gave a warning to thosepeople who plan to buy a luxury car like Ferrari. He said, "So, sa lahat ng bibili, ang importante natuto tayodito. Maaaring tama ang ginagawa ngPASG."

He stressed, "Hindi ho ako smuggler, huwag ako anghabulin ninyo.

LEGALLY SPEAKING. Aside from Willie, legal counsels Atty. Dexter Lacuanan and Atty.Armando Marcelo were also present during the live interview.

In connection with the plea of Willie to PASG to show thedocuments and the checks, Atty.

Evidence. It's not as so muchkung ano ang sasabihin. I mean, kahit ho sino puwede hong magsalita ng kunganu-ano ho, e. It boils down toevidence."

Atty. Marcelo, on the other hand, said that Willie maynot be held liable with the alleged smuggled car. So, wala siyang pananagutandoon."

Meanwhile, The Buzz asked the legal counsel if theyare taking some action on the allegations of PASG.

Atty. Lacuanan replied, "Well, unang-una, para sa amin, kasiwe are supposed to be reactionary only to any actions that have beentaken. So far po, wala naman pongaction that have been taken.

"Although at this point po, kami po, we have beengiving Willie sufficient advice concerning the matter. And then, Atty. Marcelo has also providedWillie a sufficient amount of advice legally on this matter. And we're looking into the very aspects ofthe details of this transaction."
