Months after the controversy between former couple MartinNievera and Pops Fernandez, the two performed together in aspecial production number of ASAP '08 yesterday, January 20.

It was July last year when Martin and Pops engaged in a word war, which started when entertainment columnist Dolly AnneCarvajal wrote about the "monkey" incident. Pops even had an exclusive interview with YES! magazine where he toldher story about her failed marriage with Martin.

Their quarrel seems to have been resolved. Together the Concert King and Concert Queen performed "Almost Paradise" and other songs that they themselves chose for their duet in ASAP '08.

In an exclusive interview with The Buzz after their performance, Martin related how he felt about performing again withPops. "Well, nag-usapkami nga the other day lang so this is the first time na lumabas kami sa TV namagdu-duet ulit. Me personally, feelingko, it's a nice feeling to perform with her again. Even kami ni Pops ang one of the more [unbeatable] loveteams."

When asked about who made the first move to start reconnecting, Martin seemed at a loss for words. Then he replied, "I think we were lookingfor each other, which is a good thing. Hinahanap ko siya, hinahanap din niya ako.

"Ako naman puro text, siya naman puro tawag. So finally, nag-text siya... I texted her so Iwas the first one text. We greeted eachother on New Year's Day and then she said, ‘We need to talk,' you know, ‘paramaayos lahat.' So yung idea to talkabout things came from Pops."

During the performance, one of their sons, Ram, was in thestudio watching them. Martin said thattheir sons are one of the reasons why he really should keep his friendship with hisformer wife.
