In Paris, the city of love, with the Eiffel Tower as backdrop, honeymooners Danica Sotto-Pingris and Marc Pingris Jr. shared a lovers' kiss. The Eiffel Tower is the tallest structure in Paris, and was named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel. (YES! November 2007 issue)

For Jean Marc Pingirs Jr. and Danica Sotto, who got married on March 3, 2007, the July 8-28 trip to Europe—primarily France, with a visit to Venice—was a double treat.

First, it was their long-overdue honest-to-goodness honeymoon. And second, Marc finally met his French father, whom he had not seen for 25 years.

The European honeymoon had been part of the post-wedding plans. "Kaya lang, Marc had an injury during practice and the second season was coming up na, kaya we went to Boracay na lang muna," Danica says. Now, they were finally in the midst of gorgeous, exhilarating, wondrous Europe.
