GMA-7 supports Katrina Halili's fight against sex-video scandal

Katrina Halili has the whole GMA-7 Network backing her up in her fight for justice. In a statement sent to PEP, GMA-7 promised that it will continue to trust and recognize her as a Kapuso artist.

The nightmare is turning out to be a promising start for Katrina Halili.

A few days after Hayden Kho's sex videos proliferated in cyberspace and on the pirated-DVD market, the 23-year-old actress—who was featured in one of the videos—generated mixed reactions from the public. Some regarded her scornfully. Most people showered her with sympathy and support.

The battle now will not be hers alone. Several personalities and organizations have already expressed their intent to help her. Even GMA-7 network has come rushing to Katrina's defense.

In a statement received by PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) today, May 22, at 5:00 p.m., the Kapuso network stated that the StarStruck alumna has the management's support.

The statement read:

"GMA Network supports Ms. Katrina Halili in her fight for justice. The network is confident that she will emerge from this episode a better, stronger person.

"GMA continues to trust her as an artist and awaits her return to the projects lined up for her."
