Zsa Zsa Padilla already has a wedding song for daughter Karylle

Zsa Zsa Padilla dedicates one song in her new album Unchanging Love to her daughter Karylle, who had a bitter breakup with GMA-7 leading man Dingdong Dantes a few months ago.

"Pagmamahal na Walang Wakas"

This is the title of Zsa Zsa Padilla's song in her new album Unchanging Love which she dedicates to her eldest daughter Karylle. At 45, Zsa Zsa says she feels blessed, and sometimes unworthy, for having a good daughter.

"I would sing her this wedding song... 'Pagmamahal na Walang Wakas.' Actually yung lyrics, parang 'pag ikakasal na ang anak mo, heto na. I know the time would come. I just can't wait, I just hope that it would be a good marriage," the Divine Diva said during the launching of her album yesterday, June 11, at the Discovery Suites in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

Karylle, who inherited her mother's voice for singing, recently had a bitter breakup with long-time boyfriend and GMA-7 leading stud Dingdong Dantes. The rumored cause was a third party on Dingdong's part.

Has Zsa Zsa seen Dingdong lately?

"I have prayed for that all this time," she said to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal). "Kasi I don't want to make a scene. Ayoko napo-provoke, e. I think it will be okay. Actually, I still keep his photos in my house. Until now. Di ba, 'pag nagbe-break, nagliligpitan na ng picture? Ako, may picture pa sa kuwarto ko, may picture pa sa labas. I think because he's been part of our family for a time, you know."

ANNULMENT. Zsa Zsa revealed that her annulment case (with Karylle's father) is still ongoing, but she is forbidden to talk about it to the entertainment press.

"There is a story to that but I'm not allowed to discuss. Kasi it's ongoing, six years na, baka humaba pa, eh," Zsa Zsa said.

She admits, however, that she still wants to be married with King of Comedy Dolphy, her partner of more than 20 years. But she says what matters right now is that they are together.

"My [youngest] daughter Zia was the one who explained it to me, actually. Sabi niya, 'You know marriage... it should find you, it should be the start of your relationship. When you should have kids and all that and now it's the reverse. Because you've been together and what else do you have to prove?'

"And this is my daughter talking. And she has this so much knowledge in her that I know, actually, yeah, we have nothing to prove. Because, I mean in showbiz years, 20-something years together, that's already something to be proud of," Zsa Zsa said.

ALBUM. Unchanging Love is Zsa Zsa's debut album with Poly East Records. She said she waited seven years to do this project because she really wanted to do a pure OPM album.

"I was fighting nga that time, seven years, I was fighting for an all-OPM album, but for our next project daw. We made a little bargain," she said.

Among the 12 tracks, she said she's very proud to have recorded several original OPM songs, and some of her favorite cover songs. Among the cuts in the album is the title track "Unchanging Love" that Concert King Martin Nievera sang and dedicated to newlyweds Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo.

What she's most proud of is working with young artists, who she says do not even know her body of work for the last 26 years of her singing career.

"This is God's honest truth. So you know there are new people working with me now, you don't even know if they know my work. And you know my daughter Zia, she heard a compilation of Vicor's Divine album. 'You did pop?' I said, 'It was back in the days, Zia,'" Zsa Zsa said with a laugh.

But how does she keep looking young?

"I am 45, I just turned 45 last May 28. I just celebrated my birthday and we were in Texas doing our Divas to Divas tour [with Kuh Ledesma, Pops Fernandez, and Regine Velasquez]. Pero dito [album cover] mukha akong 20 years old, the wonders of Photoshop, thank you, thank you very much! I am an endorser Belo, pero I'm proud to say that Photoshop is my best friend!" she joked.
