"If she'll have her way, she'd rather stay away from the cameras" says a Philippine National Red Cross volunteer, whom we approached to provide us with shots of Angel Locsin (top, in pink shirt) while helping the Ondoy victims. This week, with the help of Netizens, we're able to post photos of celebrities caught in the act of helping the victims of typhoon Ondoy.

There's Gerald Anderson, who braved deep flood waters to check on his neighbors in Vista Real Classica, Quezon City (CLICK HERE to read related article).

There's Jericho Rosales, who rescued an old lady, a young boy, and a dog with the aid of his surfboard (CLICK HERE to read related article).

We laud their acts of heroism. We salute them for becoming the face of hope, generosity, and kindness in this time of crisis.

Some didn't want to be conspicuous about the efforts, and chose to help sans media and publicity.

There's KC Concepcion whose donation drive inspired other celebs to follow suit.

There's Angel Locsin who's "walang kiyeme at walang arte" when it comes to sorting, packing, and handing relief goods to the needy.

There's Richard Gomez waking up early to participate in the clean-up drive.

And a lot of Kapuso and Kapamilya stars volunteering in the telethon, joining donation campaigns, and spending time with the victims.

To all celeb heroes out there, bravo...and thank you!
