Nadine Samonte feels she's being judged over an incident that never took place

Actress Nadine Samonte is now handling the reins of Sunshine Dizon's role in Tinik Sa Dibdib. But she's just as busy these days swatting down the allegations of a certain TV personality against her.

Nadine Samonte was featured in Showbiz Central's "Gimme Mo" portion yesterday, November 1. The Tinik Sa Dibdib star looked beautiful albeit a little apprehensive as she got ready to be quizzed by Mo Twister.

Mo began the interview by relating an incident that was earlier aired on another program that supposedly showed Nadine's less than generous side. A certain Jason, identified in the other show as Jayson Gainza of Pinoy Big Brother, narrated that at the height of typhoon Ondoy, he and Nadine supposedly got trapped inside a gas station, and when he asked her for water, she reportedly refused him. Was this true?

"Itong kuwento, medyo tuminik sa dibdib ko iyon," Nadine quipped, referring to her show, but she admited, "Actually nasaktan ako kasi nag-judge agad sila na hindi pa nila alam ang totoong kuwento."

Nadine continued, "Ang kuwento noon, nandoon ako, na-trap ako. First, hindi gasoline station iyon.

It sounds like Nadine tried to investigate Jason's story herself.

"Yes," Nadine affirmed.

Is there anything she'd like to say to Jason?

"Ang message ko sa kanya is sana kung gagawa ka ng kuwento, e, siguraduhin mo na totoo," said Nadine. "Actually, kahit I dare him or i-dare ko kayo, e, tanungin niyo mismo na nandoon, e, sila makakasabi kung ano ang totoong nangyari doon... na-disappoint lang ako."

STEPPING IN FOR SUNSHINE. Nadine recently replaced Sunshine Dizon in the drama Tinik Sa Dibdib. Her fans were, of course, elated that she took over such a big role, but does she feel she'll be able to justify their belief in her?

What if her performance disappoints both her fans and Sunshine's?

"Sabi ko noong una pa lang, e, there is a comparison," said Nadine. For sure, matatanggap niyo naman ako siguro."

MOM AS PARTNER IN WORK. Nadine's mom, Edjerita Burgos-Samonte, is said to accompany her daughter everywhere, from tapings to guestings. Is it true that Nadine sometimes feels that her mom is being overprotective of her?

Mother-daughter team talaga. Walang intrigang stage mother or overprotective."

Well, how about her lovelife? Would she want her mom to be involved in that as well?

Nadine once said that she would do everything to gain respect as a serious actress in the industry. But if the role of a lifetime involves daring and sexy scenes, would she do it?

"Sabi ko nga, kaya ko naman gawin, like medyo sexy or daring," Nadine said. "As long as ayoko pa munang mag-pose.

In other words, we won't be seeing Nadine on the pages of a sexy magazine any time soon.
