Like any teenager, actress Rhian Ramos felt insecure about her body when she was younger.
This was what the 19-year-old actress revealed at the press launch of her newest endorsement, Belo Medical Group's Laser Hair Removal, held yesterday, November 24 at Annabel's Restaurant, Tomas Morato Avenue in Quezon City.
The Filipino-Welsh actress said that teenagers should not worry much about what they think are their physical flaws. She explained, "I was envious siguro growing up kasi, kapag adolescent age, 'yong mga kaklase mo, doon mo iko-compare ang sarili mo. Ako naman, naiinggit ako sa mga classmates ko na mas dark sa akin or malaki ang dibdib, or maganda ang ilong niya. So, marami 'yan, every day may mahahanap kang mali, lalo na sa stage na 'yon."
Even when she was already known as a star, Rhian admitted that she still envied some celebrities for their figures, like model-TV host Angel Aquino.
Rhian said the she has already passed that stage. "I've come to like the way I am."
The young actress wants to share this lesson with teenagers who feel insecure about themselves. She reminds them to always appreciate themselves.
"Don't do anything drastic habang bata ka," she added. "You will have time to grow, you will have time para i-accept ang sarili mo.
"For example, I have a scar sa hips ko, but that's my only scar. Ngayon, tuwang-tuwa ako na may scar ako. 'Yon lang, there are things na ganun.
