"Ang thing kay PJ is huwag mo na lagyan ng malisya kasi hindi mo alam kung dahil lang sweet siyang tao or kung may malisya. Basta ang iniisip ko lang, ganun din siya sa best friend niya, ganun lang din siya sa mommy niya," says KC Concepcion denying rumors that she and Piolo Pascual are now in a relationship.

When KC Concepcion and Piolo Pascual were still doing their first teleserye Lovers In Paris, the matinee idol refused to answer anything related to the rumored budding relationship between him and the new singer-actress. Piolo said he did not want people to think it was part of the promotion for their show. (CLICK HERE to read related article)

It's been more than five months now since the Pinoy adaptation of the hit Koreanovela ended, but KC and Piolo are still hesitant to talk about the issue. This, despite a mall sighting (PEP published on its Twitter account weeks ago that they were spotted watching Iron Man 2 at the Eastwood Mall) and a sweet moment caught on tape during the launch of her latest album in ASAP XV.

According to KC, people should not put malice on anything they see between her and her former onscreen partner.

"Alam n'yo, malambing naman si PJ [Piolo's nickname]," she said to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other media at the press junket of her new morning show Simply KC. "Actually, ang thing kay PJ is huwag mo na lagyan ng malisya kasi hindi mo alam kung dahil lang sweet siyang tao or kung may malisya. Basta ang iniisip ko lang, ganun din siya sa best friend niya, ganun lang din siya sa mommy niya.

"Baka he does feel na malapit kami sa isa't isa, so he feels comfortable doing that. Pero ayaw ko kasi isipan ng malisya dahil sweet naman talaga siyang tao. Ang kapal naman ng mukha ko to think na, di ba? Iba na 'yon."

KC admits that they still keep in touch even after their soap. However, this does not mean that they have taken their friendship to the next level.

"Wala pa namang grand gesture na masasabi. Pero, yeah, we've been getting in touch, we've been getting closer na," said KC.

Kilala ninyo kung anong klaseng tao ito, and do you accept that kahit bilang magkaibigan?"

ABS-CBN'S NEW TALK ICON. At the press conference of Simply KC, the eldest daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta was asked if she could also be like Kris Aquino, her The Buzz co-host, since she is being eyed by ABS-CBN as a new talk show icon.

The 25-year-old singer-actress could not imagine doing exactly what Kris does in her talk shows. (CLICK HERE to read related article.)

"I don't do anything na ganung kakalkulado po," she said. "Kung ano po 'yong mangyari, 'yon po ang mangyari. Ayaw ko pong lokohin ang mga tao na gagawin ko ito para ganito. Kung ganun po ang mangyari, then great. Pero I think there are different ways naman. Iba-iba naman pong personalidad, iba-iba naman po ang mga reaksiyon, iba-iba naman po ang takbo ng mga utak natin."

On the other hand, KC was flattered when the media related to her that Kris considers her one of the younger celebrities who could follow her footsteps in hosting.

"Siyempre, it's a dream to be able to be recognized for something that you worked so hard on, di ba? You know, if you're recognized for something that you're working so hard on, fulfilling ang pakiramdam, e," KC commented.

KC also expressed her admiration to Kris for opening her life to the public.

"Tita Kris naman is so generous to the point na we should actually appreciate how open she is to us. Kasi, di ba, ako nga ninenerbiyos pa rin kapag ini-interview ako. Parang siya, she's very open about her life. So, kahit sabihin niya the things she doesn't agree with, at the end of the day, it takes a lot for a person to open up her life to the public, e. So that's one thing I admire about her, how open she is. Kasi hindi madali 'yon and she made a choice about opening up herself."

What was her reaction when Kris announced her decision to leave her talk shows for the sake of President-apparent Noynoy Aquino?

"Of course, nalungkot ako, ginulat niya kaming lahat," KC replied. "But I saw her sa birthday ni Tita Cory Vidanes [ABS-CBN TV Head) and I just said, 'Are you leaving?' [She replied], 'Yeah.' So sabi ko, 'Sayang naman. Just when we were getting to know each other and just when were spending time.' Sabi niya, 'Don't worry, it'll be fun.'

"I know naman na magkikita kami sa mga functions because obviously, si President Noynoy [Aquino], di ba? I'm sure we'll see each other sa mga io-organize niyang mga event, training sessions or something."
