On the heels of the announcement that Willie Revillame's upcoming show in TV5 will be launched on October 23 is a TRO (Temporary Restraining Order), which was filed by his former network ABS-CBN at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court last October 4.
The first hearing was held last October 8, and was attended by the host himself and around 100 supporters chanting "We love you, Willie!"
After almost two hours, the 49-year-old star emerged from the Branch 84 of Quezon City Hall of Justice with his lawyer, Atty. Paul Javalera Bongco, who announced that the decision will be released only after the end of October.
This means, "Tuloy ang programa ng bawat Pilipino, ang Willing Willie. Tuloy na tuloy. Itutuloy namin," said Willie.
So, what do the PEPsters think?
PEP's recent poll topic—"Gusto mo bang matuloy ang launch ang Willing Willie?"—generated 988 responses. Out of this total number, 63.87% said "hindi," and 21.15% answered "oo."
The result may be partly out of the public's "mayabang kasi" perception of Willie. It may also be influenced by the never-ending network war, with the staunch Kapamilyas going all-out against the former host of the now-defunct Wowowee.
Interestingly, 14.98% have no reaction—either they are on a wait-and-see mode or they simply don't care.
Ten days from now, we'll all know if the public echoes "Willing Willie."
