Ruffa is all set to show something different to televiewers as she returns to acting in a primetime TV series.
After more than two years since she last appeared on a teleserye, Ruffa is coming back as Ms. O in TV5's upcoming dramaserye Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak.
Since she's playing the role of a producer and CEO of a major TV network, the former beauty queen wants to make sure that the viewers will recognize her character. So, she asked her friends to help her achieve this goal.
"I requested for a stylist kasi, kahit na may sariling stylist 'yong show, kailangan ko rin ng sarili ko. I also have my own makeup artist and my own hairdresser," the TV host-actress said.
Ruffa pointed out, "Dito sa teleserye, kailangan na magmarka na iba ako. Kumbaga, hindi kami manggagaya sa ibang teleserye. Kami ang magpapapauso."
The Paparazzi host couldn't give the exact changes on her look for this teleserye. However, she assured that, "'Yong look ko dito maiiba. Actually, hindi pa naayos ang look ko. But it's gonna be different from my look sa I Love Betty La Fea."
With whom can she compare her character on Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak?
"Wala naman akong peg for my role. I'm creating my own character for this. Hindi ko masabi na may eksaktong character ako na gusto kong tularan. Siguro, it's a mix of [the movie] Devil Wears Prada with a mix of [American TV series] Lipstick Jungle and Cashmere Mafia rolled into one," she answered.
Ruffa stressed that she just wants to make her portrayal of Ms. O as memorable as possible.
"This is really a challenge for me kasi I want to make it really different from my last teleserye with ABS-CBN two year ago."
Ruffa also promised that Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak would really get the attention of the televiewers because it's different from the usual soap operas on television.
"This is a story about power and fame. This is a story about young women who wanna become famous. It's unique kasi hindi ko pa nakikita ang ganitong klaseng teleserye. Marami na tayong nakikitang teleserye, tuluy-tuloy na drama, may comedy, may wanna be singers or actors, pero wala pa talaga about who wanna be a dancer."
