"I just really want to show a different side of me sa pictorial na ito. Sana maging magandang career move ito para sa akin," says Stef Prescott as she makes her FHM debut this June, with a sizzling cover spread shot in Boracay.

Stef had no reservations about posing for the country's number one men's magazine, especially since many of her batchmates from the reality show StarStruck had done so before.

"I've seen all of my peers' cover appearances. Hindi naman bastusin pag tinitingnan kasi sobrang gaganda nila... and their careers got a lot spicier because of their covers," the 20-year-old actress tells FHM.

Previous cover girls who hailed from the show that became Stef's stepping stone to showbiz are Jennylyn Mercado, Katrina Halili, Cristine Reyes, Iwa Moto, Jackie Rice, and most recently, Rich Asuncion, who actually her batchmate in StarStruck.

HAPPY ABOUT BEING CONTRAVIDA. With a number of contravida roles under her belt and the opportunity to work alongside Cherie Gil in the soap Grazilda, it seems Stef no longer dreams of headlining a show.

"I wanted to be a bida noon... Pero ngayon, as long as I have work, I'm happy na [kaysa] masayang naman ang beauty ko!" she says, "I want to be known as someone who isn't choosy about roles. That's the point of being an actress: [you] get the chance to essay different roles."

But her FHM stint doesn't mean she is ready to take her career down the sexy route.

"I [didn't do] this because super magpapa-sexy na ako, na ang roles na kukunin ko super sexy na... FHM celebrates people like me, [someone] who's coming into her own as a woman as she gets more mature and comfortable in her own skin. That's what I want everyone to know," says the American-born Kapuso.
