"I think we all have a potential to be wealthy. Some are just, you know, given an easier start than others. But it doesn't mean na imposible na kung hindi," says Sharon Cuneta about saving one's hard-earned money.

Sharon Cuneta believes financial planning is not only for rich people. She thinks everyone should save and invest their hard-earned money.

In an interview with the Megastar after the launch of her line of American Standard cookware called Celebrations by Sharon, she gave tips on how to make your money grow.

"I think it starts with savings. It starts with ways to make money," said the singer-actress who started in showbiz when she was just 12 years old.

"Kapag meron kang ipon, meron kang kinita.

Balanse lang dapat," she explained.

To get the most out of your hard-earned money, you should do some financial planning, Sharon advised.

"Actually, baligtad.

Identify if what you are buying is something you really need or just want, the Megastar stressed.

Sharon also believes that anyone is capable of making a little extra income.

"Ang daling mag-negosyo kung matiyaga ka lang."

She gave an example of how you can make money with a hobby.

"Kung meron kayong kaalaman na konti, let's say marunong kayong magluto, you can sell sa mga, let's say, weekend market or umikot kayo sa mga opisina, dala kayo ng casserole dish like baked macaroni."

The TV host-singer also pointed out that wealth should be earned.

"Ang nangyayari, I think we just like instant kayamanan.

"Nasa pag-aaral 'yan araw-araw.

She also left these words of encouragement: "I think we all have a potential to be wealthy. Some are just, you know, given an easier start than others. But it doesn't mean na imposible na kung hindi."
