Cheska Garcia-Kramer showed up at the Proudly Promama Fair held in Glorietta Activity Center wearing a pair of Geox with two-an-a-half-inch heels.
She sashayed quite effortlessly, making the onlookers gasp, "Susmaryosep! Ang taas ng takong."
According to a BBC report, "Weight gain and hormonal changes in pregnancy have a huge impact on the body, thus, feet are more prone to ankle and ligament strains on a daily basis.
"High heels alter your posture, shorten your calf muscles, and place increased pressure on your back and knees. In pregnancy, this places extra pressure on your joints when they are already under strain."
But Cheska simply said, "Sanayan lang..."
It helps, of course, that she didn't gain much weight. "I don't diet," she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal). "But as you can see, I eat the right food. But it's not as if I deprive myself from eating. I eat, but then I make sure that it's proper food."
She donned a short maternity dress, courtesy of Petite Monde, showing her slim legs and arms.
Finding a fashionable outfit could sometimes be "stressful" for the Us Girls host. "Stressful siya in a way na, siyempre, habang lumalaki yung katawan mo, which is making more room for your baby, it gets harder to dress up."
One advice she shared: Find the right outfit.
The Modern Mom's website gathered a few handy tips to bring out the fashionista side of every preggy lady.
1. Wear shirts with an empire waist or a low-cut neckline, side-ties, or a ruched, gathered hem under the tummy.
2. When it comes to jeans, pay close attention to the cut. The best bet is a bootleg pair made of stretchy material with a cloth or adjustable waistband.
3. Maternity skirts that are khaki or black or made of denim are great choices. They are cut to flatter a mom-to-be's fuller figure.
4. For maternity dresses, lots of baggy, loose fabric means you look bigger and less fashionable. If wearing a dress when you're pregnant is a must, look for dresses with empire-waist that tie in the back or figure-hugging dresses, preferably with shirring along the side.
Lastly, Cheska added, find outfits that will show your "new bod and new curves."
