Derek Ramsay wants to veer away from talking about his reported wedding with his former Filipino-Indian girlfriend. (CLICK HERE to read related article.)
However, in an interview earlier today, September 2, Derek gave short statements when PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked him if he's taking legal steps about it.
"It's over and done with. Actually, we can't speak about it but it's over," he said in an interview at the press conference of his newest auto loan endorsement with East West Bank.
The presscon was held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.
He added that it never affected his relationship with current girlfriend, actress Angelica Panganiban.
"It was never a problem," he told PEP.
"It's just something that they brought up.
"Like I said, it was something that was nine years ago that I have to deal with and it's been dealt with."
The relationship of Derek and Angelica already faced a number of controversies in the past years. However, the celebrity couple still managed to keep their romance going.
For Derek, keeping a relationship is "a lot of hard work."
He added, "The love is there, of course. But, I think, our secret is to let each other grow."
The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition host also stressed that the key to his relationship with Angelica is their friendship.
"We started off as friends and we both love what we saw with one another and everything changed.
"Sometimes when you jump into a relationship, di ba, it changes?
"You try to change that person into what you want. But we're not like that.
"Tanggap niya ako for who I am. Tanggap ko siya for who she is.
"And we let each other grow," said the hunky actor.

"I love the show!" he exclaimed.
"That's so me, favorite project I've ever had.
"You know, I love working [for Biggest Loser]. I get to do the things that I love and I get to motivate people and help people change their lives.
"I'm looking forward to that. You know, if that's the only project given to me, I'll be very happy, more than happy, because it's so me."
