There was a time when Janno Gibbs drew a lot of flak from his colleagues, production staffers and even the showbiz media for his tardiness problem. But he said he's already addressed this issue by getting to the root cause—his insomnia.
The singer-actor confessed PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that he's had sleeping problems even when he was younger.
"Noong bata pa ako, hirap na talaga ako matulog.
"Minsan morning na ako nakakatulog. Hirap talaga.
"So, siyempre, habang tumatagal, habang tumatanda ka, mas lumalala.
During his SOP days, Janno recalled his colleagues almost got used to his being perennially late on the set.
"Parang nagkaroon ng time sa SOP na parang hindi na sila sure kung darating ba ako sa opening... kung aabot ba ako," he related to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview with him recently.
This alarmed him to a point where he finally decided to do something about his erratic sleeping habits.
"Siyempre, mahirap din for me kasi pati mga katrabaho mo naniniwala," he said.
Janno said he first tried sleep therapy.
Then, he resorted to medicine to help him sleep better.
"Nag-try kami ng medicine na pwede. Effective naman," said Janno, who will be having a benefit concert called Janno Gives this Saturday night, October 15, at the Music Museum.
Now, the singer-actor is proud to say that he has never been late since he came back to GMA-7's Sunday noontime variety show Party Pilipinas.
"Ever since na bumalik ako sa Party Pilipinas, so far okay naman, hindi pa naman ako nale-late. Nakakapag-rehearse ako ng maaga," he related
