"I do boxing as well. I also do Muay Thai... [and] played volleyball when I was younger.
"I was really athletic when I was young and no one can take that side of me away."
But meeting Jonas Gaffud of Mercator Model Management in 2007 changed her life. Suddenly, giving Bibining Pilipinas beauty pageant a shot figured in her plans.
Danielle recounted, "[It] was my first pageant. I didn't really plan on joining.
"When I came home in 2007, I was supposed to just visit my mom and my family...
"They [Mercator] trained me for it. I learned a lot of things from them...
"And then, yeah...I won, ha ha!"
Meanwhile, Jade is making a showbiz comeback by finally unraveling the sexy and daring side of her.
"I'm a completely different person when I'm in front of the camera. I feel sexy and hot, which I really don't feel when I'm not in front of the lens," said the former Kapuso star.
After securing her college degree in Psychology, Jade is now ready for anything that comes her way.
She told FHM, "I figured studying human behavior might help me improve my craft...
"Right now, I really want to pursue acting, which is my passion.
"I really want to try things out in showbiz again. Kung para sa akin, para sa akin. Kung hindi, I have options in the corporate world."
