Dimples Romana's fuss-free beauty regimen

Fresh from her Supreme Plus facial at the Diana Stalder's skin care clinic, Dimples Romana had no qualms about having her picture taken. The service she tried, according to the company's brand manager Suzanne Capulong, "completely cleanses your face as it has 15 steps."

Sans make-up, Dimples Romana looked very pretty.

She just had her Supreme Plus facial, a 15-step skin care service courtesy of Diana Stalder, which she endorses.

The Kapamilya said her beauty routine is actually fuss-free.

But since she's already 27, she decided to add "facial" in her must-have list every month.

Dimples told the press, "Ang sabi, ang ageing daw starts at 25...Kaya kailangan alagaan kasi hindi ako masyadong mahilig mag-make-up."

According to ecognitive.com, "Most people begin to show overt signs of skin wrinkling in their late 20s...

And now that she's nearing her 30s, Dimples said, "Medyo iniingatan ko talaga...Di ba kasi, mas prone kami, e, dahil ang life namin [sa showbiz] nasa amin? Hangga't maari, kailangan alagaan."

She meant that good looks is a requisite for her career given that she's regularly seen on primetime TV.

"E, ano pang magiging trabaho ko kung yung face ko, [pumangit]?" added the Tabing Ilog alumna added. "Hindi naman ako mahilig sa surgical [procedure]. Ayoko.

"So, kung hindi ko gusto, so yun, di dapat, ngayon pa lang, inaalagaan ko na ang skin ko nang natural na pagkakataon..."

The offer to endorse a skin care clinic came at a good time because, "kailangan ko ng mag-aalaga sa aking skin."

BEAUTY REGIMEN. Her busy schedule as a mom and actress is primarily the reason why she doesn't have "much kaartehan" for her skin.

She related, "Sinubukan ko kasi yung maarteng paglalagay ng kung anu-ano...Feeling ko dapat, kanya-kanya rin [sa tao].

"Kasi, merong skin na talagang kelangan maraming nilalagay."

In her case, her skin is not that sensitive.

Dimples resumed, "I'm very simple...ako pa man din, kung ano'ng mapupulot kong soap...E sila [Diana Stalder] naman, they have lemon, they have ano...So ano, kunwari naubos, kahit ano [variant] sa 'kin, e."

Her only requirement in a beauty product: 'Basta hindi nagkakaroon ng violent reaction ang face ko, okay lang sa akin."

So far, since she started using the brand's soap in November, "maganda naman effect."

There are only three can't-live-without essentials in her list: soap, toner, and moisturizer.

She sometimes uses SPF (Sun Protection Factor) to shield her skin from UV (ultraviolet) radiation.

But, "feeling ko, kailangan din ng skin ng konting sun"—which is responsible for the production of Vitamin D.

Dimples resumed, "Pero nag-sa-sunblock ako kung talagang buong araw akong nasa ilalim ng arawan.

She also has her genes to thank for.

She exclaimed, "Sobrang ganda ng elasticity ng skin ko. I don't even have stretch marks. No. Not at all...

"My stomach, di ba, CS [Caesarean] yung ano...Ang makikita mo lang yung pinag-anuhan, yung pinagbuhulan."

So she can still wear a two-piece swimsuit?

FITNESS ROUTINE. "To exercise" is her goal this year.

The only time she engages in a physical activity is when her husband Boyet and daughter Cali goes "outdoor [para sa] laro nila."

The other two members in her family love to run.

Recently, she had no choice but to join the family run.

Dimples recounted, "Yung anak ko, naka-5k, ako 3k. Pabalik na siya, papunta pa lang ako.

"'Tapos ang sabi daddy niya, 'Cal, you go ahead na, I'll stay with mom kasi baka mag-hyperventilate."

She was laughing so loudly because, "naka-full gear ako, ha."

But she did not run.

"I'm gonna walk," she told her husband.

This year, she wants to try The Spa's Barre3—which, its website says, is "a 60-minute class that combines the grace of the ballet barre, the wisdom of yoga and the strength of Pilates"

Dimples added, "Parang lengthening kasi mahaba ako."

The former model wants to start preparing for ageing.

She proudly said, "I'm 27. 1984."

And as the years go by, she has no plan of hiding her age.

Her explanation: "Actually, I don't understand using a screen age. For me, it's very superficial. Yung parang, sino'ng niloloko mo dun?"
