Comfort and style— these are the two things that Misagh Bahadoran and Annie Aniel look for in a pair of jeans.
Annie, who studied pole dancing at the Pole Academy Philippines, and Misagh, who is the midfield player of the Philippine National Football Team or Azkals, are the newest brand ambassadors of Freego jeans.
Their active lifestyle is very much aligned with the jeans company's Freedom of Movement campaign, which launches the Reversible Jeans and Breathable Jeans.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) was invited to attend the product launch last March 1, at the Artic hall of Hotel H2O, Roxas Boulevard, Manila.
In an interview, Marketing Manager Tessa Ringor said that this collection aims to change the thinking that wearing jeans "limits" one's movement.
"It was a challenge for us to come up with a denim-innovation that would defy boundaries or would defy the long noted notion that wearing jeans limits you, or wearing jeans inhibits you from doing what you want to do.
"Like they say when you're in jeans, you feel heavy or bulky, you can't move when you're wearing jeans.
"So, it is really challenging for us."
JEANS LOVER. Misagh and Annie are both "jeans lover."
The football player said people "should have their freedom," and when he says freedom, it means being comfortable and confident of what they're wearing.
He related why quality is also important:
"I look for material first, and we're football players, we need to wear something that's really comfortable for us.
"We want jeans that don't get heavy after it gets wet. So, after the game I really want to wear jeans that are really comfortable, in style.
"Most of the times we don't get to shower right after training, so, we have to change our clothes immediately and go to where we will be going.
"So, I want something that's really, really comfortable."
For Annie's part, comfort should go with style.
She confessed, "I have been wearing jeans all my life. I pair it with simple rubber shoes, a simple top when I go out with friends.
"There are two things I'm looking for: comfort and style.
"When I go for comfort, it is not loose or if it's over tight naman it's hard to move in it."
And one more advice from the pole dancer: "'Wag tiis ganda!"
