Rumored couple Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson recently revealed their plans for Holy Week—Sarah is staying home with her family, while Gerald will be on a US tour. Find out where your other favorite celebs are headed this Holy Week.


Holy Week is just around the corner, so where do your favorite stars plan to spend their time off from work?

Read on to find out.

WORK AND PLAY. Most Star Magic artists will participate in the talent management group’s 20th anniversary show on Friday, March 30, at the Waikiki Shell in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Angelica Panganiban, Piolo Pascual, Bea Alonzo, Enchong Dee, Rayver Cruz, Gerald Anderson, Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Derek Ramsay, Pokwang, Erich Gonzales, Julia Montes, Maja Salvador, Matteo Guidicelli, Vina Morales, Erik Santos, Yeng Constantino, Angeline Quinto, Zanjoe Marudo, Marcelito Pomoy, Jovit Baldivino, and Young JV—all slated to appear on the show.

They left the country yesterday, March 27.

Most of them already planned to stay behind for the rest of the Holy Week, like Enchong, Gerald, Rayver, Xian, Pokwang, and Young JV. They'll join their fellow Star Magic artist Sam Milby, who is currently based in New York City, for the Teleserye Bida 2012 U.S. tour.

The show will take place on four different locations around the US from March 31 to April 8.

LOVERS SPENDING TIME APART. Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano are among the few showbiz couples who will be spending time apart this Holy Week.

In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at the PMPC Star Awards for Movies last March 14, the Thelma director said, “I think she mentioned that she’ll be going with her family to Hong Kong.

“Right now, I think my family is planning to go just somewhere around the Philippines, so, of course, if it’s a family thing, I’ll definitely be with my family and she’ll be with her family.”

Does Paul also plan to go a vacation with Toni soon?

“Right now, pretty much our families are our priorities so we look forward to taking vacations [together] when the time is right,” he answered.

Rumored couple Gerald Anderson and Sarah Geronimo are also going their separate ways next week.

Gerald will be touring with his Star Magic family in the US, while Sarah will be staying home with her family.

At a Jollibee event last March 24, Sarah said, “Kapag Holy Week po talagang sa bahay lang kami ng family.”

Long-time lovers Railey Valeroso and Chynna Ortaleza are also spending time apart next week.

In a Twitter message from Chynna sent to PEP, the Legacy actress said, “We have no ganap. We choose to spend Holy Week with our respective families ;)”

FAMILY BONDING ABROAD. The Witness star Gwen Zamora will be going out of the country to visit her father who is currently based in Dubai.

At the press conference of her movie on March 20, the actress revealed that she is excited to hit the man-made beaches in the area.

“My dad works in the Atlantis, it’s one of the biggest hotels, it’s one of the seven-star-hotels in the world, and it’s on top of a big island that’s in a shape of a palm tree.

“It’s beach everywhere! It also has a water park and has a dolphin bay thingy. So I’m excited for that!”

TV5 princess Jasmine Curtis-Smith will be taking another showbiz break come Holy Week.

The Fil-Aussie beauty is going back to their family home in Melbourne, Australia to spend time with her brother and mom.

Another TV5 star, Tessa Prieto-Valdez, is also going to Australia for the holidays to bond with her family.

“We’re gonna go to the Gold Coast, which is, we love it there, they have so many amusement parks and there’s a beach so we can go surfing, play golf.”

Kapamilya teen star Yen Santos is also flying out next week.

The E-boy actress and her family are bound for Hong Kong to visit Disneyland and other famous landmarks there.

MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES. “It’s more fun in the Philippines,” says the Department of Tourism and that is exactly what some stars are out to prove this Holy Week.

After his big birthday bash last March 24, Aljur Abrenica will return to his father’s hometown in Batangas to spend some more time with his family, this time in a more quiet and intimate setting.

Alden Richards also plans to return to his family’s hometown in Laguna and do the traditional religious rituals such as the Way of the Cross pilgrimage.

Kapamilya star Enrique Gil is headed home for Cebu with his family.

It is a much-awaited and much-needed break for the actor as he has spent the last couple of weeks filming here and abroad for his new show Princess And I with Kathryn Bernardo.

Meanwhile, Kapatid star Ritz Azul will be staying home in Pampanga with her family.

She said via Twitter message, “Sa holy week, usually nagiging family bonding po yun sa amin, parang nagiging family reunion. Nagyaya minsan na magswimming...mag-outing, picnic.

“Sa ngayon, hindi pa kami sure kung saan. Pero I'm sure, ako, magiging part ako ng activities dito sa barangay namin.”

Ritz is an elected Sangguniang Kabataan official in their barangay.

Kapuso actress Bianca King chooses to stay in the city this Holy Week.

She said in an interview on March 21, after hosting her own birthday party at the DSWD Headquarters in Quezon City, that she’ll be spending Holy Week for the second year in a row in her new home.

"It's one of those days na nasa bahay lang ako. Actually, enjoy din mag-stay sa Manila [pag Holy Week] kasi walang tao.

"Para siyang ghost town kasi nasa probinsiya o bakasyunan ang mga tao. Last year nga kakalipat ko lang sa house ko, so nandito lang ako sa Manila."

Will her rumored boyfriend, Dennis Trillo, join her?

"Hindi ko alam ang plans niya. Ask him,” answered the Broken Vow star.
