Anne Curtis chooses the Surfing Capital of the Philippines as one of her summer destinations this year.
The TV host-actress went to Siargao during the Holy Week break with her boyfriend Erwan Heussaff for a break from the busy life in the metro.
“It was a lot of fun!” said Anne to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other media in an interview after the Century Tuna Superbods pageant night last Saturday, April 13, on Boracay Island.
The recent vacation trip made Anne agree with the Department of Tourism’s new slogan: “It’s More Fun in the Philippines.
“You know, the slogan really [fits] when you say na, ‘It’s more fun in the Philippines.’
“You know, it’s so refreshing to visit somewhere in the Philippines that is untouched and you can still feel nature in spite of it being such a beautiful and beachy place.”
She also appreciates the people from General Luna, a town where one can find most of the resorts in Siargao.
General Luna is also the best spot to view different quality surfing waves in the famous Cloud 9.
“Napaka-warm ng welcome ng lahat ng mga taga-General Luna,” recalled Anne Curtis.
After this trip, Anne plans to explore more places in the country.
“I wanna visit more of the different places in the Philippines. Iisa-isahin ko,” she said.
When asked what’s next on her list, Anne replied, “I really wanna do Batanes.”
