Bela's rule: “My first rule is water. I drink so much water and I cut out on anything colored na drink so I don’t drink soft drinks, I don’t drink juices that much. Every once in while I drink pineapple juice so it makes me… It feels like I detoxify myself. But water is my biggest rule. Kasi, I like the feeling na my skin is moisturized."

Bela Padilla was launched as the latest brand ambassador for Nisce Skin and Face, a line of beauty products, last June 21 at 55 Events Place, Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

Being the newest endorser of a beauty line, Bela gave some tips for the ladies on how to keep their skin healthy and glowing. Her golden rule?

“My first rule is water. I drink so much water and I cut out on anything colored na drink so I don’t drink soft drinks, I don’t drink juices that much.

“Every once in while I drink pineapple juice so it makes me… It feels like I detoxify myself.

“But water is my biggest rule. Kasi, I like the feeling na my skin is moisturized.

“And sometimes, when it’s a hot day, instead of putting lotion, because sometimes lotion is sticky, di ba, I use olive oil.”

While most of us use olive oil to make fried food healthy, Bela reveals, we can also apply it directly to our skin.

MAKE-UP TIPS. For most girls, the best way to enhance our features is through make-up. Robin Padilla’s niece shares some rules in choosing your make-up.

“You have to find the right color for your skin, first of all. You also have to find if you’re acidic or not, or the type of skin you have.

“'Cause some people have oily skin, some people have dry skin, some have a combination which is both. So, I found out I was a combination.

“So, you have to find out one first, like what skin type you have. Then from there, you ask the people from the make-up counter like, which one is for dry skin, which one is for oily skin. So, ganun.

“There’s actually things na you have to find out first before buying products. It’s nice now that I know these things....”

Surprising us with her know-how on skin care, we asked how she learned all that.

“I asked the dermatologist. So, you can visit Nisce and ask the dermatologist what skin type you have.

“Pero more or less you will see naman, eh. Like, you would know if you have dry skin or oily skin.”

On the one make-up item she couldn’t go without, Bella goes for the basic.

“Lip tint. I love using lip tint or lip taint. Because I like red lips. Kasi, uhm, my skin’s okay naman. So, I can go bare face basta I have lipstick. That’s my security blanket, red lips.”

KEEPING FIT AND RELAXED. Because of her busy schedule, Bella doesn’t have much time to hit the gym these days.

“Lately I haven’t been working out kasi we’ve been taping almost everyday, so yung puyat, medyo pumapayat na ko sa puyat.

“Which is wrong, I have to get some exercise. Now that we’re almost finished taping I’ll go back to the gym.”

Though she doesn’t get to work out regularly, Bella has a way of keeping herself fit. FHM’s 8th Sexiest Woman in the World tells us about her love of the pool.

“I love swimming. So when I can, I swim in the morning, pag yung call time ko hindi masyadong maaga.

“That’s like a regular thing na. I don’t even think of it as a sport anymore, it’s like, just a part of me if I want to de-stress or I want to relax, I go swimming.

“I also jog in UP [Diliman] once in a while, pag gabi, especially when I have to prepare for a shoot or something, I want to go jogging in UP. So you guys might see me there,” she smiled.
