Actress Charee Pineda has joined fellow artists Barbie Forteza, Jake Vargas, Neil Coleta, and Martin del Rosario as one of the new endorsers of jeans brand BNY.
On September 22, the Angelito: Bagong Yugto star was formally introduced to the media through a press conference held at Cerchio Restaurant in Scout Limbaga, Quezon City.
In their official press statement, the company explained why they chose the fresh-faced actress.
"BNY always makes it a point to spot the big fish in an ocean full of new and bright showbiz talents.
"Equipped with charming personality and naturally exudes youthful energy, Charee is definitely a big catch!
"Being not just another showbiz pretty face but beautiful inside and out as well, she doesn’t just give BNY a boost in image but also gives a very positive kind of aura to its totality."
Charee is one young actress who has maintained a good image throughout her career, which began in 2004.
She was one of the hopefuls who joined the reality talent search Star Circle Quest; however, did not make it to the top 10.
But prior to that, she had already played a bit role in GMA-7's Ikaw Sa Puso Ko (2004), which she landed through talent manager Becky Aguila, who also handles the career of her cousin Jennylyn Mercado.
In 2006, Charee played a major part in the youth-oriented series Let's Go, where she starred as Charie, the "crush ng bayan."
After which, she went back to GMA-7 to play third party in the Mart Escudero-Jennica Garcia loveteam in the series Impostora (2007).
Although she still gets to play bit roles in GMA-7 shows like Maynila, Charee has remained a Kapamilya since 2009.
So far, no major issues or controversies have been linked to Charee's name.
Except, perhaps, for her surprise engagement to non-showbiz boyfriend Eric, which happened in a PAL flight to Hong Kong last June.
FASHION SENSE. Blessed with a pretty face, Charee has managed to stand out in a crowd even without wearing an extremely attractive outfit.
She keeps her style simple and comfortable—something that the brand also echoes.
Girly T-shirts and jeans are among Charee's wardrobe staples, and she wears them every single day.
She likes to go for trendy yet comfortable styles and good-quality yet affordable pieces.
Her shopping mantra: Less is more—the less frills and complications, the better.
And just like the brand's previous endorsers—namely Gelli de Belen, Jolina Magdangal, Glaiza de Castro, Hero Angeles, Sandara Park, Melissa Ricks, Joseph Bitagcol, Joross Gamboa, Roxanne Guinoo, Gian Carlos, Valeen Montenegro, Kris Bernal, and Aljur Abrenica—Charee is bound to impart her own sense of style to the youth.
