For the second time this year, fashion designer Rajo Laurel collaborated with retail giant SM to put together a new collection of stylish footwear.

The Rajo! for Parisian and Rajo! for Milanos collections were launched at the SMX Convention Center on September 25, through a grand fashion show and shopping party that delighted a crowd of shoe lovers.

Celebrities like Divine Lee, Alyanna Martinez, and Djanin Cruz were spotted trying out some of the limited-edition pieces.

Even male stars like Sam Milby, Mikael Daez, Rocco Nacino, Bodie Cruz, JC Tiuseco, and model Brent Javier also took advantage of the exclusive chance to get first dibs on the limited-edition shoes.

Some couples were also seen bonding through shopping: Jolina Magdangal with husband Mark Escueta, Lindsay Custodio with husband Julius Platon, Say Alonzo with husband Ryan Tordesillas, and Chariz Solomon with fiancé Nestor Ng.

The program was hosted by Raymond Gutierrez, who was dressed in a modern kimono-inspired suit.

The theme of the party was “anything Japanese,” which was also the inspiration for Rajo’s shoe designs.

Rajo told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal): “I wanted to be able to share my love for Japan through the collection.

“I mean, I grew up… my grandfather [Jose Laurel III] was an ambassador to Japan.

“And because of that, at an early onset, I was awoken to the sensibilities of the Japanese culture.

“My parents were married in Japan. I went to high school in Japan... I love Japan! So it was a very easy point of inspiration for my collection.”

All in all, the new Rajo! line is composed of 28 varieties, which include adventurously stylish wedges, boots, flats, and heels for women; and dapper casual and dress shoes for men.

The designs feature bold colors and patterns, sleek lines and curves visible in satin, suede, and leather materials.

Rajo also used metallic accents and embroidery as unique touches to the colorful pieces.

The Rajo! for Parisian and Milanos collections have very limited stock (200 pieces only per design) and are only available in selected SM Department Store branches.
