Charice began her showbiz journey at age seven by joining singing contests in town fiestas and, later on, in TV programs like ABS-CBN’s Little Big Star. In 2007, she hit it big when YouTube videos of her performances in a Korean talent show caught the attention of music lovers worldwide, including American TV host and actress Ellen DeGeneres, who then gave the Filipina belter a guest spot in her popular show. Since then, Charice has been a ward of Oprah Winfrey; released two international albums, performed with the likes of David Foster and Celine Dion; and taken part in the hit TV series Glee and in the movies Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Squeakquel and Here Comes the Boom!
