Lolit Solis on the success of Startalk for 17 years: "Kasi one big happy family, we work happily."

Lolit Solis has served an amazing 17 years on one show, GMA7's Startalk.

Joey de Leon, on the other hand, has a long history with co-host Lolit.

He says, "Nung araw, dinudukutan mo ako sa bulsa.

Their co-host Ricky Lo throws in, "Maraming naniwala may personal ano kayo. Kasi they go back way back."

Lolit answers, "Ano kami, loveteam."

The two were grade four classmates in Moises Salvador Elementary School in Sampaloc, Manila.

Joey interjects, "Nagsasaksakan kami ng lapis."

The Eat Bulaga! host had a yaya, and Lolit, in Joey's words, "goons 'yan."

It's this easy banter among the hosts that contributes to their success on Startalk. They kept joking and teasing each other as they were spending time with us, all in fun.

At this stage, all four can be considered veterans— Lolit with 17 Startalk years on her belt, Butch Francisco (14 years on the show), Joey (on board since 2005) and Ricky (since 2008).

Joey says familiarity makes their job easier.

For her part, Lolit says of Startalk 's success, "Kasi one big happy family, we work happily. Minsan parang magkaaway kami, nagbuwisitan, pero we end up as friends."

Joey appreciates Lolit's style of thanking people on the show, because this given added value: everyone now gets some weekly loot bags from the many sponsors and partners she regularly mentions.

Lastly, we asked the hosts what they think about the Cybercrime Law.

Nanay Lolit candidly says, "Hindi ako marunong mag-text, wala akong... I don't even know kung ano ang cybercrime na 'yan.

Ricky turns a bit serious and explains his opinion, "Okay ako doon except for the provisions na masyado matindi ang penalty, at yung sa libel."

He is against an intimidating provision. "Kahit sino na lang puwede magsabing libelous."

He adds, "Naging biktima din ako ng cyberbullying. Lahat tayo vulnerable."

For him, it would be better if the bill included the provision that the one laying down the accusation be required to identify himself, instead of remaining anonymous as the current bill states.

Joey de Leon makes a pun about the issue. Kasi vague nga, malaki... nakuha niyo yung joke?"

He qualifies, "Pero with amendments, ayos lang."
