Before showbiz, Derrick Monasterio did not mind getting his skin burned without any protection. It changed when he became a celebrity, he said, “Ngayon, bago ka lumabas ng bahay talagang sunblock ka muna. Marami nang nilalagay.”

Before joining showbiz, Derrick Monasterio used to be carefree with his skin, like other teenagers.

In a short chat with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Derrick said that he was not conscious about the effect of too much sun exposure when he was not yet a celebrity.

He related, “Hindi pa ako nag-aartista, sa school tuwing P.E. time, maaraw at mainit po ‘yon, di ba?

Now, the 17-year-old Kapuso star does not deny that as a celebrity endorser he often visits Diana Stalder facial and skin care center for facial and dermalift treatments.

For Derrick, taking such treatments is essential for celebrities.

He reasoned out, “Kumbaga, sa pag-aaartista, ito [looks] ‘yong puhunan namin, e.

Doesn’t Derrick mind being called vain for getting such treatments regularly?

The Paroa lead actor also stressed in the end, “Okay nga po ‘yon kasi mas maa-appreciate pa nga ng mga tao kasi inaalagaan mo ang sarili mo.”
