Billy Crawford surprised a lot of people with his new physique after taking a short break from showbiz early last year.
He explained, “[I’m] joining Iron Man, so kailangan talagang mag-lose ng weight.”
He admits being “addicted” to marathons. He says, “Well, it is a good way of living. I’d rather be addicted to that than any other.
“So being really involved in sports, it’s just living healthy. Sa ‘kin kasi, it’s a challenge, it’s a different kind of challenge.
“Nagpapatanggal siya ng kung ano man yung stress sa buhay, stress sa trabaho.
“Whatever it is, when I run, parang I don’t think of anything basta I’m running properly.
“When I bike, it’s just the same thing, safety.
“And then, when I’m swimming, it’s the same thing. Sobrang nakaka-relax.”
Billy revealed what prompted him to lose weight, “Well, when I left, when I was in France, I was taping. And I was having meetings, et cetera.
“A common friend of mine who’s my own bodyguard, he was training a triathlete so sabi niya, sama ka sa ‘kin.
“We got a bike, et cetera. Ayun, nagustuhan ko lang. Then I really got involved.”
Billy says he’s still relatively new to triathlon. On his training, he says, “Depende, depende sa work. December kasi medyo mahirap.
Does he train for all three activities─ running, biking, and swimming─ regularly?
He replies, “Preparations. Mondays, I go biking, Tuesday’s I go swimming. On different days, sometimes, bike-run.”
RAFAEL'S REGULAR DIET AND WORKOUT. Meanwhile, Rafael Rosell revealed his choice of diet, “Pescetarian. Lahat ng carbs, lahat ng sweets, kinakain ko.
“Pero sa akin kasi, kapag kinain mo na yung mga chemicals na in-infused sa mga mass produced meat, pork and chicken natin…”
How often does he work out? “Pag walang taping or pag... dahil yung work out naman twenty percent lang ng physical appearance mo, e.”
Do you vary your workout every once in a while?
Rafael answered, “Two years ago, may nahanap akong workout na bagay sa ‘kin, hindi ko na binago. Yun na, hindi ko na binago ever since.”
ENERGETIC MELAI. We asked Melai Cantiveros what she does to stay fit. Her reply, “Ang ginagawa ko is… wala naman.
“Kumakain naman ako ng rice. Ang laki nga ng tiyan ko, e.”
But the PBB alumna believes her natural liveliness is primarily responsible for her slim frame, “Magalaw ako, e.
“Hindi ako nag-i-exercise pero pag nasa bahay ako, tumatayo ako sa harap ng salamin. Kaya ako talaga, sobrang magalaw kaya payat.”
Melai thinks this may change with pregnancy, “Pero sabi nila pag nanganak daw ako, nabuntis daw ako… Pag nabuntis ako, tataba daw ako. Ganun yung mama ko.
“Hindi naman pero sana naman pag dumating na yung time na yun, kelangan ko nang mag-exercise, no?”
