Ever wondered how Kapuso host and PR maven Tim Yap stays perky all the time?
Well, when he feels the need to recharge, all it takes is a quick nap while he's ferried through heavy Metro Manila traffic.
Once in a while, a heady caffeine buzz or sugar rush also helps bring back that much-needed pep and zing.
One of his current favorites comes from a quaint shop in Eastwood, Quezon City called Caffé Bene.
The famous coffee shop chain from South Korea recently opened its first flagship store in the Philippines.
Of course, Tim was there to grace the launch last December, tagging along some friends such as Isabelle Daza, Sam Oh, Franco Mabanta, and Claudine Trillo.
He pointed out to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) his favorites on the store's menu:
“Ang favorite ko dito, ito... iyong Psy Latte,” he said, pointing to a cup of freshly brewed coffee that bears the face of “Gangnam Style” rapper/singer Psy on its froth topping.
“Aliw, di ba? Natuwa ka na because andiyan si Psy sa coffee mo, tapos nag-enjoy ka pa kasi nasarapan ka.
“Magigising ka talaga kasi mapapasayaw ka na lang ng ‘Gangnam Style,’” Tim quipped.
Aside from the coffee, he also likes the yummy pastries, particularly the fresh, warm waffles.
“Iyong crunch niya outside, then the softness ng bread inside. It's very, very good,” he exclaimed.
“I also like their Italian gelato. It's authentic, galing talaga ng Italy.
“So, it’s complete, di ba? Iyong mga sweet cravings mo, they get satisfied.
“So, kung sa 2013, ang goal mo is to be more enthusiastic sa work, ito talaga iyon.
“Have coffee— not just any coffee, but Korean coffee— and eat some sweets.
“Then, saka ka na lang mag-workout after, so you don’t get fat.”
