In a tropical country like the Philippines, it's a must to wear anti-perspirant deodorant everyday.
But aside from it being a hygienic measure to prevent underarms from sweating and having body odor, deodorant is now used for vanity's sake— specifically, it can make your underarms smoother and whiter.
The Belo Essentials Beauty Deo, recently launched at the Trinoma Activity Center in Quezon City, claims that it doesn’t only promise protection but also solves "chicken skin" caused by shaving and plucking.
Other common underarm problems girls encounter are redness, irritation, and darkness, which may be caused by the aluminum chloride content of most deodorants.
To avoid these, the brand's endorser Anne Curtis suggests, "Find the perfect deodorant for yourself."
In her case, she has to be sleeveless-ready most of the time. She says, "Especially in my line of work, I wouldn't be so confident if I were worrying about dark or sweaty underarms all the time."
Her beauty deo has promised that after five days, one can start seeing the difference, such as dark areas noticeably lightened and the pores minimized.
A traditional roll-on or deo spray?
Although the roll-on lasts longer and is more practical in terms of budget, it is not advisable for those who are active in sports or who sweat a lot.
The deo spray, on the other hand, is more convenient for ladies on the go as it dries quickly, plus, its 24-hour protection is more effective than the roll-on.
How much? The price for 40 ml is P84.75, while 25 ml costs P49.75.
