Experience the opulence of living a French lifestyle without having to fly out of the country.
The Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel celebrates “French Month” this July, with a variety of events that showcase some of the distinct qualities of the glossy European nation.
The Tour de France at Spiral already began on July 1, at the hotel’s in-house buffet restaurant.
Executive Chef Eric Costille has prepared an exquisite menu that highlights certain delicacies from the four stops of the famed cycling competition.
Starting from southeastern Nice to southwestern Bordeaux, experience a culinary journey at Spiral’s French atelier with dishes like quiche Loraine, ox stripe stew, and among others.
Waiters on classic European bicycles will be roaming around the restaurant during lunch and dinner to serve wines imported from the different regions of France.
On July 13 and 14, the hotel will be celebrating Bastille Day, which is essentially one of France’s most recognized historical days.
A revolutionary French menu will be served all weekend. Free flowing cocktails will be served at dinner on then 13th, with a fireworks display to cap off the evening, and unlimited French champagne will be served over brunch on the 14th.
The month closes with the opening of BB Forever, a touring exhibition that chronicles the life and times of one of France’s favorite daughters, Brigitte Bardot.
An exclusive collection of close to 30 photos, which were curated with the help of writer and director Henry-Jean Servat, will depict the actress’s lustrous film career from the 1950’s to 1970’s.
The exhibit will be available for viewing until September 10 at Le Bar.
Meanwhile, Filipino designer Albert Andrada will be interpreting the look and feel of the iconic movie star through a fashion show on July 30, featuring St. Tropez-inspired resort wear and evening gowns.
