Andrea Brillantes, the Kapamilya network's tiny package of beauty and excitement, bursts with joy because of her latest endorsement deal with Polaroid tablet.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) got to sit down with the pint-sized young actress during her photo shoot for the brand in a studio in Makati.
Andrea was really in a good mood during the interview and exclaimed, "Kasi first time ko lang mag-endorse ng gadget at saka gusto ko talaga mag-endorse ng gadget, e."
She says she has endorsed restaurant and food products before, but this one is different because it's something that she's really interested in.
She says what she likes best about the product, "Shockproof siya...
Despite her hectic schedule taping for the soap Annaliza, Andrea still manages to go to school.
"Opo.
Busy as her week may be, the 10-year-old makes sure she gets enough rest on Sundays.
GADGET GIRL. Obviously excited about her new toy, PEP asked if Andrea had owned other gadgets before.
"Opo, pero baka ito na yung gamitin ko," she says about the tablet she got to use during the shoot.
The product will not be available in the market until mid-August.
Andrea names her favorite applications. "My PlayHome. Ano siya, bahay-bahayan. Ako lang mag-isa naglalaro."
She adds that she also uses her tablet to read books, play other games, and draw and paint.
But perhaps one of the most important things that Andrea, and even her parents, love about the product is it's child-safety feature.
"Mayroon siyang parental guidance, e. Safe mode," Andrea explains.
According to the product manager, the tablet can also be used to access social media, like Instagram, since it is Wi-fi ready.
The 7-inch Kids Tablet is "a magical device that combines all the fun and entertainment kids love, with the security, durability and educational content that provides parents with peace of mind."
Of course, being the star of Annaliza, Andrea also uses her tablet to catch up on the show's episodes via the internet.
BECOMING FAMOUS. With things going well for her career, the pretty child star feels simply ecstatic.
With her showbiz status, do Andrea's classmates in school treat her differently?
She does add, "Mayroon minsan, 'Uy, sikat ka na.'
She says she looks forward to doing more product shoots in the future.
"Opo. Enjoy. Yung favorite ko kapag nagpo-pose, kapag mine-makeup ako."
Asked who she admires in showbiz, the 10-year old Andrea names her Ate Kim Chiu, Ate Anne Curtis, and Ate Julia Montes.
SHOWBIZ CRUSH. Does she have a crush on male celebrities?
"Ten years old palang ako. Ayoko, e, nandidiri pa ako, e."
Andrea tries to smile as she tells us, "Kunwari, mayroon kilig scene, nai-ilang ako, e.
Tumakbo ako, umikot-ikot ako," she said, even demonstrating how she screamed then.
But what if a boy tells her that he has a crush on her, how would she feel?
Quickly, Andrea continues, "At sa pag-aaral."
Andrea reiterated that when it comes to boys, she's open to "Wala, friends lang muna."
Has someone ever told her he likes her or has a crush on her?
When asked to confirm if this boy was her former co-star, Andrea simply reacted by shrugging her shoulders.
ZANJOE MARUDO. When it comes to actors she admires, Andrea is quick to share.
"Si Tatay Pogi, pero hindi ko po siya crush," referring to Zanjoe Marudo, who plays a father-figure to her character Annaliza.
What does she admire about him?
"Kasi magaling siya, mabait siya."
How would she describe Zanjoe's personality? Is he the same on and off-screen?
"Sa totoong buhay, sobrang galing, sobrang bait."
What does Andrea appreciate most about her Tatay Pogi?
DREAM ROLES. After Annaliza, what does Andrea see herself doing?
With a twinkle in her eye, Andrea answers, "Gusto ko mag-sirena.
But what if she could only choose one?
Biting her lip, Andrea tries to answer, "Gusto ko, maging... bawal po talaga dalawa, tatlo?
The list goes on for this promising young talent.
