PEP Gift Guide Day 67: Satisfy Ryzza Mae Dizon's sweet cravings this Christmas

67 DAYS TO GO. 2013 has truly been an awesome year for child star and Eat Bulaga! mainstay Ryzza Mae Dizon.

Just some of the many things she's been blessed with this year is having her own self-titled early noontime show, The Ryzza Mae Show, and her first movie My Little Bossings, which comes out in December.

Tagged as Aling Maliit, the eight-year-old star continues to inspire and entertain a lot of people with her wit and talent.

Judging from her energy to take on several projects at a time, it is quite evident that Ryzza Mae has a hearty appetite for sweet treats.

In one taped episode of The Ryzza Mae Show, which PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) got to see live before the young star was interviewed for PEPtalk, Ryzza learned how to make her own cupcakes.

Her favorite flavors are the classic chocolate and the season's in-demand red velvet cupcakes.

Homemade cupcakes are ideal to give as gifts this Christmas season, not only for the personal touch, but for the happiness its sweetness brings to people.

Here are the recipes to Ryzza Mae's favorite cupcakes:

CHOCOLATE CUPCAKE.

1. Sift and combine the following dry ingredients in a bowl:

- 1 cup white sugar

- 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour

- 3/8 cup cocoa powder

- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda

- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

2. In a separate bowl, combine all wet ingredients:

- 1/2 cup milk

- 1/4 cup vegetable oil

- 1/2 cup warmwater

- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

3. Combine wet and dry mixtures in a bowl and whisk properly to eliminate lumps.

4. Lay out baking cups inside cupcake pan and fill a little more than halfway with the batter.

5. Place in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees, and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

6. Let it cool and top with whipped cream and other decorations like gumpaste flowers and candy sprinkles.

RED VELVET CUPCAKE CONES.

1. Melt 1/2 cup butter in a bowl and add 1 and 1/2 cups white sugar. Mix them well and add 2 large eggs.

2. In a separate bowl, sift and combine the following dry ingredients:

- 2 and 1/3 cups cake flour

- 2 tablespoons cocoa powde

- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

3. Combine half of the dry ingredients with the butter mixture. Mix them well and add the rest of the dry inredients.

4. In a separate bowl, combine the following ingredients:

- 1 cup buttermilk

- 1 tablespoon red food color

- 1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar

Combine his mixture with the batter.

5. Fill up sundae cones with the batter and bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

6. Once done, top it with whipped cream and some candy sprinkles.
