In an effort to raise funds for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda, Metro Society magazine held a thanksgiving and charity fashion event at the Solaire Resort & Casino Grand Ballroom on December 1 .

Top Filipino designers who headlined the the fashion show were Rajo Laurel, Randy Ortiz, Cary Santiago, Albert Andrada, Avel Bacudio, JC Buendia, and Philip Rodriguez.

No less than actress Dawn Zulueta modeled for Cary Santiago’s collection during the last part of the show.

The 44-year-old actress’s classic beauty was emphasized by her simple black ball gown.

Another show-stopper was the display of Randy Ortiz’s collection, headlined by Miss Universe 2013 third runner-up Ariella Arida and Miss Universe 2010 fourth runner-up Venus Raj.

The two beauty queens, Ariella and Venus, looked like twin dolls, walking side by side in their complementing layered gowns.

Likewise, Jun Escario’s muse, Kim Jones, was stunning in her dreamy spaghetti-strapped gown, with a matching belt that accentuated her slim figure.

It was also a treat seeing Kim's fiancé, Jericho Rosales, on the sidelines, taking photos of her on the runway.

Asia’s Next Top Model judge Joey Mead also made a fierce entrance, thanks to her modeling experience.

She was wearing an elaborately designed number by Rajo Laurel.

Another professional model, Bianca Valerio, walked on the catwalk with ease.

She modeled a nude-colored gown by Philip Rodriguez.

Ernie Lopez, head of ABS-CBN Publishing, also made his debut in the fashion modeling scene, wearing a suit by Avel Bacudio.

Colleagues who attended the event spontaneously cheered the businessman/athlete on as he walked the ramp.

For the finale, all the models and celebrities donned Sagip Kapamilya’s Yolanda statement shirts, which read: “Tulong Na, Tabang Na, Tayo Na.”

Sagip Kapamilya is an ABS-CBN outreach program; Metro Magazine is an ABS-CBN publication.
