Searching for the perfect pair of shoes has never been easier.

SM Makati dedicates its entire fourth level for what is deemed to be the largest shoe department store in the country.

With over 25,000 pairs of shoes waiting to be discovered, shoe addicts went crazy during the store opening last December 11.

The newly renovated space boasts 5,500 square meters of shoe collection that offers something to meet everyone’s taste.

Spotted during the event were Asia’s Next Top Model judge Joey Mead-King, Binibining Pilipinas 2013 first runner-up Pia Wurtzbach, and former My Husband’s Lover star Bettina Carlos.

Standing at 5’8” tall, Pia shared how much she loves wearing sky-high heels to parties, and to her trainings as a reigning beauty titlist.

“I like them around five to six inches high. But it has to be comfortable, so I always go for platforms with really slim heels,” she said.

Bettina, on the other hand, said that having a pair of flats is a must for everyday wear.

“I like heels, first and foremost. But being with my daughter, I have to wear flats all the time. So, I just bring a pair of heels with me just in case I have an important event to go to.”

While trying on a pair of black platform boots with killer heels, Joey couldn’t help but gush: “So they say, the higher the heel, the closer you are to heaven!”

SHOE-CRAZY CHOICES. SM’s iconic Parisian brand can easily compete with international labels with its extensive collection of trendy boots, sexy platforms, strappy sandals, and comfy ballet flats for an affordable price.

Or you can splurge on other all-time favorite brands, such as CMG, Janilyn, Figlia, Figliarina, Gibi, Rusty Lopez, Janeo, Mario D’ Boro, Chelsea, and many more.

But you should definitely check out the new fashion forum, where they carry global brands like Badgley Mischka, L.A.M.B., Jeffrey Campbell, Joe’s Jeans, Nina, Adrianna Papell, and Marie Claire.

Giggly girls would also fall in love with all sorts of stunning platforms inspired by Matell’s popular fashion doll Barbie.

Kids would also have a field day on the shoe section that carries other well-loved characters like Hello Kitty, Garfield, Disney Princess, and Monster High to name a few.

Of course, the shopping mall’s shoe department wouldn’t make men feel out of place with its fashionable brands like Milano and Salvatore Mann.

And then there’s also a large section that caters to sporty and active people with Nike, Adidas, Merell, Converse, Sketchers, New Balance, Puma, Fila and Vans among others.
