At the media event, Tattoo showed the 2013 Phoenix Film Festival’s Best Sci-fi Feature Channeling starring Taylor Handley, Kate French, and Dominic DeVore.

  • Best Digital Music Artist Presented by Spotify
  • Best Style Blog / MicroBlog Award
  • Best Fitness Blog / MicroBlog Award
  • Best Tech Blog / MicroBlog Award
  • Best Podcast Award
  • Best Lifestyle Blog / MicroBlog Award

Model-host Bianca Valerio will lead the deliberation of the Tatt Council on who among the nominees will be shortlisted in each category.

Joining Bianca in Tatt Council 2014 are: Dong Ronquillo, VP for Globe Platinum; Jim Paredes, music advocate; Bianca Gonzalez, multimedia host; Mika Aereen, sports maven; Erik Matti, award-winning director; Pie Alvarez, youngest female mayor; Bianca Consunji, Mashable journalist; James Reid, celebrity hearthrob, and Stacy de Jesus, Rappler social media Head.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) chatted with Bianca Gonzalez, who sits in the Tatt Council for the second time this year and is herself a Tatt Awards winner.

The TV host shared, “This my second year actually to be part of the Tatt Council.

“Nanalo ako ng Thoughtmover Award in the first Tatt Awards.

“And then in the second Tatt Awards, nanalo ako ng major award yung ‘The One.’

“So, dun sa third and dito sa fourth part na ako ng Tatt Council.”

The Pinoy Big Brother: All In host said that she is always excited to read the list of the nominated social media movers.

Bianca related, “It’s always interesting kasi when you see the list of nominees, like tayo we have our own set of people na we follow.

“Parang dun na tayo sanay but whenever Tattoo gives me a new list, ‘Uy ito yung mga ni-nominate ng mga tao…'

“Parang mas nawa-widen pa yung perspective ko na parang grabe there are so many other people worth following in social media na hindi natin alam.”

Bianca stated that passion is her top personal criteria in shortlisting the nominees.

“Siguro the best way to describe it na, for me, very bagay din sa film [Channeling], is I like people who post on their accounts dahil passion nila.

“Kasi this one [the movie] is about people who post on social media.

“Yung driven ang passion nila and hindi driven para dumami followers nila, dumami likes nila.

“Yung alam mong genuine na yun yung gusto nila kaya yun yung pinopost nila.

“Hindi yung, ‘Ay kasi dadami yung followers ko, e.’

“So more of that.”

She added, “For sure Tattoo will give percentage criteria but ako yung core nung magiging choices ko is that.

“Someone who doesn’t unpost what they really love and passionate more than being driven by fame.”

How does she differentiate passionate bloggers from “famewhores?”

Bianca told PEP, “I think you can see, I think all of us have an eye for seeing what to us is genuine.

“Kasi iba-iba din e like what to you is genuine baka iba yung genuine sa akin.

“I guess that’s why it’s called a council para hindi lang isang tao.”

She also enjoined everyone to participate and nominate their favorite blogs or social media personalities even if they don’t have much following.

She explained, ““I don’t think nasa follower count yun e nasa content talaga.

“That’s also something I will look at and I looked at din last year.”
