Web-based music stream service Deezer has finally landed Manila via Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart).
The music app was officially launched in the Philippines on Wednesday night, July 9, at Raven, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
It has more than 30 million songs in its library, and is also available in over 180 countries worldwide.
Additional features include Flow, Hear This, and Explore—which combines the best of man (from 50 music editors) and machine (algorithms to get a personalized playlist according to the listeners' music taste) recommendations.

Musician Rico Blanco was also launched as the brand ambassador, and performed before a jam-packed crowd.
Rico said in an interview, “I’ve been listening to songs and artists suggested by Deezer based on my listening history, and I would not have discovered this world of wonderful tracks and artists if not for this music app.
“It’s like taking music cues from someone that truly knows you like when a friend buys you a CD that he knows you will like, Deezer does that to me.
“It has turned my music discoveries into exciting adventures.”
Meanwhile, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) also got rave reviews from real-life couple Divine Lee and Victor Basa.
Divine: “I like it kasi ako, gusto ko yung memory ng phone ko para lang talaga sa pictures.
“Deezer makes it so easy kasi you don’t have to download, you just have to connect to the internet, ganon.
“Everything is just in the app.
“And sometimes, hindi ako magaling sa lyrics and sa title, so with them merong mga playlist ng kind of similar songs that’s easier to group.
“And I like it, it’s convenient and, 'di ba, i-play mo lang, kahit hindi mo pinili, sila na pipili for you.”
Victor: “It’s really exciting, I’ve been reading about the history of Deezer and it’s really inspiring story ‘cause it’s really from draft roots.
“And they really try to bring the best music to the listeners, and I love the interface.
“And it’s nice how you can play any song from wherever you are, kahit na maliit yung storage ng telepono mo okay lang.”
